Ready Set Vignette Party #3

Hello Ladies, come on in and make yourself comfortable, the party is about to start. I am Marianne and I usually blog over at Songbird, but I will serve you hot tea and cookies here at Beth’s place today while we admire all the beautiful vignettes in blogland. As you may know our gracious host Beth, has had a lot on her plate lately, so I offered to do the honors today so she could relax and be a guest at her own party.
And what a party it will be! Are you ready for some serious vignette fun?! I am. I prepared a vignette especially for today.
Neutral vignette2
I started out with my usual palette of neutral colors and lots of white, the colors of peace and relaxation. And used my beloved choice of natural materials: twigs.
Neutral vignette1
I added a rusty, industrial lantern that I love and envisioned burning some rose scented oil in the burner.
Neutral vignette3
It was shaping up to be a nice vignette. Not bad at all.
But it didn’t speak to me….
You know the way vignettes can speak to you, or even sing….
No, I wasn’t hearing it. So I decided I needed some fresh flowers, maybe that would do the trick. So off to the flower- shop I went.
I was thinking baby’s breath or maybe some of the last white tulips.
This is what I came home with….
Pink Gerbera Vignette5
Screaming loud pink!!
Away with the neutrals and in with color. Glorious, wonderful color!
Pink Gerbera Vignette1
The pink gerbera’s immediately demanded to be the center attention in this vignette.
Heck what am I saying, they are the center of attention in my whole living room now.
Pink Gerbera Vignette3
I added some pink baby chrysanthemums and an allium flower from my garden.
Pink Gerbera Vignette2
Oh is there anything better than whites with splashes of color. The color truly makes the white shine, while the white is such a beautiful backdrop for the color.

To add to the romantic feeling I stuck an old vintage postcard of a girl enjoying her pink flowers in the mirror.
Oh I love it when a vignette comes together….
Pink Gerbera Vignette6
Do you have vignettes that are speaking to you? Link them up to the list, you know the drill. And don’t forget to tell your visitors we are partying over here.

Thank you, Beth, for being our wonderful host and inviting us all in to your lovely home. Now go sit down and enjoy yourself while I serve another round of fresh tea, or maybe a glass of wine instead….

Love,

vogeltje A2

Darn, I forgot all about the vignette party! Think I could make something w/ all the condiment bottles that won't fit in my new fridge or from the layers of flooring I just ripped out? This is gorgeous, btw!

oooh…. I forgot to link for Wed. so late me did it today. Didn't want to miss the par-tay.
Marianne, this vignette is so pretty. Love that hot pink! I am wondering if I should do a room completely in neutrals and then add some punches of color as the whims/seasons come…
Beth, I hope things settle down a little for you soon.
    hugs, Sue
