Mantel Vignette Party! Link on up peeps!!!

I found this image above via Junkgarden (who happens to have an AMAZING flickr line-up here) and I just felt happy and inspired to create something yellow!
Over the weekend, Hubs surprised me with a bouquet of sunflowers.  (He had noticed me admiring some sunflowers in someone else’s  garden…love that man!)
I decided to make them the focal point of my mantel.
I really wish I had some lemons to throw on up here, but a birds’s nest will have to do.
I originally had the flowers in a small, white creamer but things were looking too flat and even.  In fact, the flowers could still use a bit more height.

But all-in-all, my mantel just makes me happy to look at!
So now it’s your turn!  Show off your summer mantels and/or vignettes!  Linky will be open this week so join in any time.  I’ll do a review of my favs next week.

    Beth,
I am a sunflower girl. I have them in my kitchen and they seem to just brighten your day. I love what you have done with your mantel. I wish I had more courage to change it all the time. I find one way I like and then I keep it that way until Christmas comes along. Thanks for the fun party.
