Welcome to the Mantel linky party! I’m excited to see your vignettes and mantels and equally excited to share mine with you. I think this mantelscape is my favorite so far! For Valentine’s Day, I wanted to create something romantic and comforting. As most of you can testify to, this winter has been ridiculously cold and bleak. I am so over snow and cold temps and am ready for SPRING! So this mantel combines my love for hot tea and all things Spring.
Flowering branches are everywhere in the magazines right now and I LOVE them! You can create your own by following a few simple steps and using things you probably already have on hand. If you missed my tutorial on how I created the flowering branches, please click here.
I love a comforting mug of hot tea in the winter. To create the cute heart tags and the heart on the plate, I used my Silhouette. I painted the tag by hand to create a bit more texture.
Few things would sound more romantic to me right now than some songbirds! Sigh. Spring please come quickly!
Since I was going all Springy with this Valentine’s mantel, I decided to add some birds nests on my milk glass candlesticks. A burlap printed grain sack carries the theme in the background.
Many forget to carry the theme of their mantels to the hearth. Don’t forget to soften the edges of your mantel by adding some interest on the floor. Here, I’ve added a chunky seagrass basket filled with hydrangeas.
And of course, what would a Valentine’s mantel be without a boa? No mantel of mine for sure!
Okay, so that’s what I’ve been blog-bragging about for the last few days on Twitter. Now it’s your turn! Show me your buffet tops, desktops, hutches, and/or mantels. You don’t just have to have a mantel to join!
Please place this button on your post and link back to my post!

Awww it's very soft and romantic. I bet Marvin Gaye is playing in the background. I love it and I'm ready to pull out the birds too.
Beautimous!
It's oh so romantic!
I Love the idea of using the cardstock over your mirror…pure genious!
I have GOT to get me a boa…still haven't found one! ack!
Have a great day girly!
Hugs
Missy
I love your mantel. I had a tea theme going on my mantel as well – it does seem warm and comforting at this cold and snowy time of year. Thanks for hosting the linky party.
Woman I must really love you to leave my warm bed to get up and link up

Your mantel is absolutely gorgeous. And the Silhouette of yours is getting a good workout!!
The teapots are such a nice and unexpected touch. But my favorite part is you mentioning a Songbird
Just lovely, Beth. I think your charming tea pot is my favorite part. Thanks so much for hosting the party.

Thanks for hosting, Beth. I really like your mantel – you were so smart to create a faux chalkboard!
You and that Silhouette, go on with your bad self!
I love it, and the chalkboard idea is fab.

Beth,
That is absolutely beautiful – I totally LOVE the quote, and I agree with you: this is totally the most beautiful mantel you've made.
Happy Sunday!

Inspiring, I am off to add some love to my little entrance table. xK
It's beautiful! I love it!
Oh my! I can't wait to check out some of these links tomorrow (at work, shhhhhh!). If the thumb nails are any indication, I'm about to be wowed! Beth, love your mantel and your little bird nest – I would have added it too!

Too cute! I need to get some more ideas for Valentine's decorating…. I am kinda at a loss for it! Looks like this party is a great place for me to start!
Beth –
Your mantle is so adorable. I love the subway-ish sign. And everything else. So cute!!
Thanks for hosting another fun mantel party. I love your mantel parties – they are my favorite linky parties.

I love your mantle. Not sure mine is party worthy. Been staring at it all week and still not in love.
How long is your party link up for?

Valentine's day is my favorite! I don't have a mantel, so I hope it's ok that I linked some other V-day projects. I can't wait to sit down tomorrow and browse all of the Love!
I love your soft feminine mantel. The soft colors are gorgeous. I love the chalkboard and the quote too. Thanks for hosting again. I love your mantel parties. Oh, and I was contacted by BH&G for my Halloween mantel. I hope I can get the picture dpi right so they can use it. Thanks again.
Very pretty, Beth! I want to link up but I'm having some technical difficulties. Hopefully I can link up later.
Thanks so much for hosting this fun party! I love all the inspiration and romance…now I need to go buy a boa.

Thanks Beth, I wasn't going to do a Valentine Mantle, thanks for the kick in the pants! Love your quote in the center, so pretty and appropriate! Have a great one, Laura
That is so beautiful!! I love the quote, too! I wish I had a mantle to decorate. Thank you for sharing! I can't wait to view everyone else's decor!
Beautiful, Beth! I love the quote and the boa. Thanks for hosting~
xo
Your mantle is so pretty- I really love the heart tags on the teapots, such a sweet touch. Looking forward to seeing all the Valentine's Day inspiration. Thanks for hosting!
You inspire me so much!
I don't have a mantel, but I have a bookcase that I decorate. Unfortunately, it's the same all year (except for Christmas) since I use it as a decoration for my living room (candle, rocks, leaf plate and a pretty table runner).
Maybe I might use my bookcase to decorate each season with.
I don't have much in the way of decorations for each season/holiday (except for Christmas) so I will be doing some dollar store/thrift store finds.
Hmmm…I wonder what I can do for Valentine's. I'll take a look at what your readers (links) have done to get some idea.
Beautiful! Love your touches of "spring"… I think we all need it this time of year. Thanks so much for hosting! We don't have a mantel, but I added our foyer table that I decorate.
Ahh! I love the white feathers! So pretty! I guess Valentines just calls for teapots, huh? LOL! I Love your sign (quote) in the middle as well. Your whole mantle is just gorgeous!
My daughter's b-day in on V-Day and it's her first. I'm wanting the mantle to look special. I have ideas to glean from now.
You go ladies!! Those are some awesome mantels definitely worth showing off.
Ya'll inspire me to dream up a pretty mantel.
Beth, your mantel looks smashing! With a house full of men, I'm not drawn to Valentine's decor that includes lots of pink. Then again, I'm a redhead, so I've never been much on pink anyway; I guess I shouldn't blame it on the boys. Anyway, your mantel is the best of a winter mantel with Valentine's added in for some wonderful holiday interest. Just right!
Beth, Thanks so much for your sweet comment, I could not directly respond because I spilled water on my laptop last night!!!!!! I am taking it in today but I am not sure, using the family computer but there is no email set up on this!!! UGGGGh! Great response on the party, have a great day! Laura
Always love seeing all the beautiful ideas people have for their mantels. Thanks for hosting the party!
Beth,
Wow, 111 links! That's awesome. Whenever I do linky parties I can't get anyone to join in. I must not be doing something right.
I was thinking we need to get together. If there's a time you might be free drop me an email.

Beth,
Another beautiful mantel. The faux blackboard idea is brilliant. I find the quote especially comforting today as well as the entire theme as it hints spring will soon be here.
Have fun at Blissdom.
Your Friend,
Deborah

Beautiful Beth…I just love the Boa's, I use those often in decorating, and they add fun and whimsy to an elegant touch….you got just that. THanks for hosting.
I don't have a mantel, but I didn't want to miss out on the fun…
Love your pretty valentines setting. I cannot even find my Valentines decor this year for some strange reason so I guess it's not getting done- love looking at everyone elses' pretty Valentines though
Beth, just found your blog through Southern Hospitality – Thanks! Rhoda. Gina (in Texas)
SO many cute ideas!!!
Thanks for throwing such an awesome party, girl!
~Shelley
OH! And I love your mantel! So pretty! I especially love that simple heart plate.
It's just those little touches, that make your decor look so cute!
Ah Beth! Thank you so much for featuring my mantle! I recently found your blog and I am loving it…I was totally reading the post about your house being a disaster and mine is the same way–it seems like as soon as I get it clean a new project starts!

I LOVE your mantel…very nicely done, my dear! I am sooo beyond late for the party but I decided to join anyway.;) I am enjoying all the beauty linked up…Thanks for hosting!
Thank you so much for hosting the Valentine's Party (as well as all the other great mantle parties!) Yours must highly acclaimed if BHG is stalking them for future inspiration (see Savvy Southern Style). My computer freaked on me and now I have TWO links to this party (154 and 155). I want people to read my blog, but not bad enough to be so redundant! Could you please delete one of them? Thanks!
These are wonderful! I hope this party stays open long enough for me to finish my mantel! Gosh, I'm slow!
Thanks for hosting, Beth!! Better late than never, right?
I linked up my "romantic winter vignette"…which is the closest I can get to a mantle! Also…I'm not a pink/red kinda girl…so this was my best compromise
Gorgeous mantel!! The pretty bird, cute nests, feather boa, and the tea pots with the hearts.Oh… It's so lovely!
Blessings ~*~ Wendy ~*~
So pretty. I’d like to link up, but I don’t see the linky. http://therantingsofadramaqueensmum.blogspot.com/2012/01/valentines-mantel.html
