A few months ago, I freshened up our master bathroom with some blue paint, fluffy towels, and new accessories. I really love the way it all came together! However, I wasn’t sure how to decorate the one tall window in the room. It’s the only source of natural light in our bathroom, and I knew I didn’t want to cover it up with anything heavy. I also knew that it really needed a little somethin’ somethin’ to compliment the rest of the room. When I’m undecided about a decorating choice, I typically do nothing at all. And so my poor window has sat naked for last several months. Out of desperation for a privacy solution, I hurriedly tacked up a sad little curtain that I stole from the boys’ bathroom. Sorry boys! Thank goodness for Bali Blinds! They must have sensed the neediness of my situation and offered to let me review a custom wood blind and window cornice.
Are you familiar with Bali Blinds? They are the largest national retail brand of blinds, shades, shutters, drapery and more! You can find them being sold at the Home Depot, Lowe’s, JCPenney, Target, Costco, and Menards, just to name a few, as well as several online retailers.
I went to the Bali site through Lowe’s and browsed the many window treatment options. I decided to go with the Northern Heights Wood Blind in Snowstorm with a cornice done in Bavaria Alps fabric. The ordering process went very smoothly, and I loved how easy it was to make my selections. The step-by-step directions for measuring the window led to a perfectly custom fit blind and cornice. When my wood blind arrived, I followed the directions which came in the packaging and was able to install the blind in a matter of minutes. You can see how great it looks below even without the cornice!
The thick wood slats are absolutely perfect for privacy when needed and light filtering when desired.
Want to know something else that I love about this blind? Do you see the little wood ball half way up the cord? That right there is pure genius my friends. All of the blinds/shades in my home have the wooden balls at the end of the cord. But you know what happens when you pull the cord the full length of your arm? The blind still has half a window’s length left to go. And so you have to grab the bare cord to finish the job. I love that by simply adding another wood ball half way up the cord, Bali has eliminated the struggle and discomfort of raising the blind. I know, it doesn’t take much to make me giddy, but I just love a company that pays attention to detail!
What can I say? Just like you, I have a passion for beautiful things. 😉
