Cute tutorial on how to create embellished ballet flats for less! Create these Anthropologie inspired flats using charms from Etsy and basic flats.
How to Create Anthropologie Shoe Knock-offs
My Anthropologie catalog arrived in the mail the other day and these adorable flats caught my eye. They retail for $98. Ouch. But if you’re willing to do a teensy-tiny bit of DIY you can have them for between $29-$43. I will show you how!
Exhibit A: Anthropologie Acorn Flats $98
How to create knock-off version for $29.50:
Buy Target Merona flats for $25
Then buy acorn charms from Etsy for $4.50 (which includes the cost of shipping).
Stitch the acorns on with some mustard-colored thread and you are looking cute for less! Don’t know how to stitch them on? Ask a friend. Someone will help you. I promise.
Exhibit B: Anthropologie Leaf Trinket Flats $98
How to create knock-off version for $29 (or $16.50 if you’re blessed with small feet):
Oh Target how we love thee…and if you have teensy-tiny feet you’re going to love them even more. Half-off for all of you with child toes!
Once you’ve bought your flats, you’re going to want to buy your leaf charms.
Exhibit C: Anthropologie Beetle Flats $98
How to create knock-off version for $43:
Are you sensing a theme yet?
Then hop on over to Amazon.com and buy two of these guys for $18.
Exhibit D: Anthropologie Feather Flats $98
How to create knock-off version for $29.20:
Okay, so these aren’t exactly navy, but isn’t black more practical anyhow?
Then buy these Etsy charms for $4.20 (includes shipping cost).
Now go forth and have cute feet for less!

Great idea! I love the colors for fall, you could use vintage earrings too for your own look! I have come across leaves quite a bit in my treasure hunting as well as small scatter pin brooches. You could even do a complementary design without them being exactly the same. Oh so many Ideas!!

I just saw these in the store yesterday and thought they would be a great diy too! Target also has those Odell Flats every year in multiple colors that are $12.00. You could also get clip on vintage earrings from a thrift store and change them out. So cute!
