My friend Melissa is always a fantastic resource when it comes to finding practical Target items on deep clearance. And Sarah recently wrote a post showing us Target’s latest home decor line. With all this Target temptation floating around, I decided to make a run this week to see what I could find.
I always like to browse the clothing clearance racks first. You never know what treasure might be waiting for you! The racks were pretty picked over, but I did find two cute items. This brown cable knit sweater was marked down to $7.00 and some change.
Please ignore my freaky looking eyes in this next pic, but I wanted to show you the color a bit better. It’s a pretty chocolate brown and it’s very comfy cozy. For $7-something I am very pleased with it so far!
I also found this cute coat marked down to $15-something.
The faux fur collar is removable if you want a more traditional peacoat look.
And here is a tip that I shared on Facebook, Target’s winter line of swimsuits is typically way cuter than their summer line. This is their “cruise wear” line so the suits usually have a bit more bling to them. The same styles won’t be around in the Spring and if they are, I can assure you that the sizes you need won’t be available. I know it’s hard to put your winter body in a summer suit but just pretend you’re tan and toned and love yourself! I’m on the beach a lot in the summer so a “wardrobe” of swimsuits is a must for me. (And as an aside, my sister Kim and I have similar taste in everything and typically end up buying the SAME suit each year even though we shop in different states! I’ve claimed this one Kim.)
Another Target tip, look on the very end of the aisles for deals. Anything that was a “gift set” for Christmas will be on clearance. I needed to pick up some more Regenerist cream and some face wash and was thrilled to find this gift set for half of what it would cost me to buy these products off the shelf. They had a few other “gift sets” for perfumes and things on clearance as well.
And lastly, I came home with this adorable shade. However, it doesn’t quite fit my lamp so will need to be returned. Drat!
How about you? Any Target tips to share?

it must be your beautiful shape but those jeans look really nice. what brand are you wearing? do you tend to buy the high end jeans vs the more affordable ones? thanks.

Ha! {blush} I definitely don’t spend a lot of money on much of anything in my life. These jeans are Levis jeggings and are my go-to jeans when wearing boots. They are super comfy and have a lot of stretch. I purchased mine at Macy’s for around $45 or so.

That’s a great tip on the bathing suits! I can never find my size by the time I start looking in the spring!

I love the lamp shades! I had them in my cart but put them back 🙁 I wish the pattern was in brown and not black. You are making me want to ginger them again !
Love these posts, so real!

I have trained my kids to love Target. I just buy them a $1 cookie and have a delightful shopping trip with 2 kids in tow. It is great. When ever we get close to a Target my kids squeal with delight.
I was also trained to shop all end racks for clearence, by my mom she is hardcore. We get some toys at the after Christmas clearence and save them as gifts for our nieces and nephews through out the year!

I was at Target last night. They had great clearance going on. I found a navy blue henly type sweater for $8 and a burgundy suede wedge shoes for $10. It was a great trip. Gotta love Target.

My favorite part of Target is also the dollar section – I am a teacher and always find cute prizes, stickers, containers and other things I can use in my classroom there. I almost always find great deals at the end of the party supply and candle aisles.

Great deals!!! Cute swimsuit too!!
My Target fav is the dollar section!

Hi Beth! Thanks for sharing all the cute stuff! We don’t have Target in Canada yet…but it’s in the works. There will be one opening in 2013 about 5 minutes away from me and I can’t wait! I think you got 2 awesome items on clearance! Angie xo
Beth @A to Z says
Oh you will love it ;)!

just a little chuckle, a string bikini and regenerist! that’s how you keep it young and hot!!
Beth @A to Z says
Oh my goodness! Ha! LOL!!! So true ;). But I swear by my Regenerist. It really helps my fine lines look a tad finer.

I seriously need one of those headbands. 🙂

I have been eyeballing that lamp shade! Not sure that I have a spot for it, but I think I will have to buy it!
My Target tip is the same as yours: Walking through the end caps on the “outside”….they sneak in the clearance items! I always find some treasure that needs to go home with me!
Beth @A to Z says
It’s really, really cute. I wish it worked on my lamp!

First off~ you look SO pretty in these pics! Model pretty! Now, I love the sweater and coat. I would have it dry cleaned…it looks like pure wool!
My tip for shopping at Target is to do it online for the most part. I see things the stores don’t stock or sell out of and I love to read the reviews, like on the mattress cover I just bought. Little things like that. Not for clothes though.
I envy that you can get a bathing suit at Target…it’s Lands End for me all the way now!

Thanks Jane! And yes, they have some different items online and you can usually find a promo code for free shipping or 10% off. Target also carries some cute modest swim suits as well for those not comfortable with string bikinis. I probably “shouldn’t” be wearing a string bikini any longer but whatever. I do a lot of things I shouldn’t do :).

Those are gorgeous blue eyes! Not freaky looking eyes. I love finding things on steep clearance.
Beth @A to Z says
Thanks girl but they kind of freaked me out in that pic. They don’t typically look like that. LOL!

Beth, i just came over from my reader to tell you about the missing ruffle. I’m glad someone else pointed it out. Hopefully they have another so you can exchange cause it’s really cute!
Thanks for the target tips!
Jaimie says
Love your tips! Is it just me or is your swimsuit missing some flowers on the left side, between the lighter and darker ruffles? I only WISH I could wear something like that! 🙂
Beth @A to Z says
Ack! No! It’s not just you and I seriously can’t believe that I didn’t notice that. I’ll have to exchange it. I hope they let me!
Jaime Costiglio says
Beth we need you to model that bikini too! Only kidding. Love me some good Target deals, I was born in Target land in the Midwest so that red target is forever tattooed on my heart. Nice work.
Beth @A to Z says
No bathing suit modeling will be taking place anytime soon :)!
jessica@fourgenerationsoneroof says
Oh come on!!! I was reading your post as you were modeling all your stuff and it crossed my mind, “is she going to model her swim suit?” I did giggle a little 🙂 I think you should! 🙂 he he
Beth @A to Z says
You know, coming from a beach town I think I view modesty a bit loosely but I’ll spare everyone that shock for now. Come to think of it, I did post a bikini pic on my blog last year around this time when I was talking about weight loss :)!
