Tutorials & Tips Link Party {38}

You all amaze me every week, and I’m excited to see what you have in store for us this week! I love hosting this party and featuring your projects, but I do have some rules. Please be considerate and follow them if you’re going to link up. Thanks!

PLEASE READ the rules of the party before linking:

  • Any tip or tutorial is welcome! Decorating, holiday ideas, room makeovers, cleaning tips, recipes, crafts, and sewing all count.
  • Keep content fresh! Please do not link the same projects week after week. I will delete posts that you’ve linked up here several weeks in a row.
  • If your post has been featured in a Tutes & Tips Not to Miss, please do NOT link it up again. This does not sit well with me, and your post will be deleted. Keep it fresh.

  • Link back. I only feature those who link back to me within your post.

  1. Thank you for hosting, Beth!! :) I know how rough it is to host these linkies during the holidays!!

  2. I promise my post is fresh. I know what you mean, same thing happens at my parties. People don’t link back either. :(

Thanks for hosting! I shared my tips on creating *original* photocards {100 for under $30!}…

  3. Beth- thank you SO much for hosting this party! I’ve linked up a vintage themed baby shower I hosted last week (9) and a white berry wreath I made for Christmas (10). I hope you’re having a lovely evening!

  4. Hey girl! I was so excited to join your party last week, but Preston’s surgery prevented my participating. Oh, well. A week later, I’m glad to share my tutorial for a completely NO-SEW bolster pillow. I made two for my guest room re-do. . . and then our guests didn’t get to come for Thanksgiving after all! I’m learning never to take things for granted. :)

Thank you so much for hosting. You attract great tips and tutorials!

  5. Thank you so much for hosting! Linked up my decoupaged painted piano!

  6. Thanks so much for hosting Beth!! (Hope you had a great holiday weekend)

  7. Hi Beth Thanks for hosting this awesome party! I haven’t linked the bookmarks here but they are from Summer, I hope it’s OK! I guess my tip is to make these for when the kiddos are out of school, they can read to help pass the time some during their winter break which will help keep them out of Mommy’s hair when trying to wrap gifts, or make Xmas dinner. Have fun! Thanks

  8. Hi Beth,
How are you these days! Very busy I guess, ah well, what else is new, if we weren’t busy we’d come up with some new projects to fill up that free time real quick.
Anyway I have done a little Christmas/winter craft that turned out pretty cute. It is really easy so it only took me a few words to explain how I did it. I am happy I can link up here again! Thank you for giving me the opportunity.

  9. Thanks for hosting the party! I am excited to participate this week as I finally had some time to craft over Thanksgiving break. I hope you had a safe trip home from your mom’s house.

  10. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving. Thanks for hosting. Take care.

  5. [...] Christmas Books for Children November 28, 2011 · by Amanda · 2 Comments One of the best parts of unpacking Christmas at our house is Christmas books!  The kids each have their favorites, as well do David and I from our childhood!  You may have a few of these, and perhaps you will discover a new title that can become part of your collection! Do you remember this one?  So fun how a book can take you back 30 years with just a sniff:) Santa Mouse…my hubby’s favorite Christmas book as a little boy! The Crippled Lamb…sweet, thought-provoking, beautifully illustrated. Magical!  Love this precious story. You can probably quote this one! The Night Tree…love, love this one…a charming story  story you don’t want to miss! I’ve posted this one for Easter, as well, and it’s a beautiful story for any time of year.  The manger plays a role in this tale, making it part of our Christmas collection, too. Inside cover…”Everyone’s favorite woolly sheep is baaaack in a Christmas story perfect for any eager child awaiting Santa’s arrival.” A happy, silly, rhyming story about some clever cows and how they save their Christmas! Don’t you immediately sing the tune when you see this title? A classic we never get tired of! “That cold winter’s night, beneath the star’s light…a Little One came for the world.” Mr. Willowby’s tree is too tall, so he asks his butler to chop off the top.  What happens to the treetop?  A charming, classic, Christmas tale! A sweet story my friend Shelley told me about.  Heartwarming and appropriate for older children, too.  I Spy Christmas…fun for all ages.  One of our all-time favorite books!  Beautiful pictures and loads of fun! Every Christmas, my dear childhood friend, Claire, or my mom add a new Christmas book to our collection, so our shelf is quite full.  We never tire of these! I’d love to hear about your favorite Christmas books!  Do you have a favorite childhood or have additional titles that your kids love to read at Christmastime?  Merry Christmas Reading!
