Welcome to Tutorials & Tips! Just a reminder that the Valentine’s Mantel Link Party is on Thursday so save your mantels until then!

Any tip or tutorial is welcome! Decorating, holiday ideas, room makeovers, cleaning tips, recipes, crafts, and sewing all count.
Keep content fresh! Please do not link the same projects week after week. I will delete posts that you’ve linked up here several weeks in a row.
If your post has been featured in a Tutes & Tips Not to Miss, please do NOT link it up again.

Thank you for hosting another successful collection of brilliant ideas! It’s no wonder your link party has grown so big and is a favorite in the land of blog!
On another note, did you hear me yell “Shut the door!” after reading your previous post? I have a set of PB Emma {white} and want to add to it. I much prefer the price you paid. Thank you for sharing the link. Question: Do the pieces get extremely hot when you use them in the microwave? {I ask because it’s a flaw in the PB Emma dinnerware.}

Hi Beth!

I did it again–I had a small post that I linked up yesterday, then today I finished a project that I really wanted to link up as well (a Valentine’s wreath for $2!). I hope that’s okay with you–your rules don’t say anything about only submitting one post, but I certainly understand if you’d rather I didn’t link up two different things. (If I were more organized, I’d get a linkable project done early in the week and be sure that I shared that one. Alas. Organization is most certainly not my long suit.)

Anyway, if it’s not kosher to link up two posts, please just let me know and I won’t do it again. I appreciate your hosting the party for all of us, and I want to be respectful of your hospitality!

Inspiration File: Basket Light Chandelier by All Things Thrifty
Two years ago, I wrote a “Trend Alert” post on basket lighting and cage lighting. (You can see that post here.) And in that post I included this fabulous 5 basket chandelier which garnered the most attention. I found the image in an online wholesale catalog and several of you begged me to find out a retailer that sold the light. I even called the company and spoke with a representative that told me I would just have to search for shops that carried their products and that she couldn’t help me beyond that. Uh…okay. Several of you suggested that such a light could easily be diy’ed. Now, let’s fast forward to the present!
