Tutorials & Tips Link Party {71}

Welcome to the 71st edition of Tutorials & Tips! If you’re looking for last week’s features, don’t worry you didn’t miss them. They have yet to be featured. I am a bit over my head in projects right now (back porch, boys’ bedroom, kitchen) and am excited by all the progress but forgetting I need to post as well! Tutes & Tips Not to Miss from last week will be featured tomorrow! Stay tuned…

In the meantime I have a few quick tips to share with you! When painting outdoors, use Glad Press & Seal wrap to cover your light fixtures.

If you’re painting spindles, this “paint roller” mit comes in handy!

And if it’s 100* outside while you’re painting, make sure you have a box of these in the freezer. They come in handy as well :) !

Tomorrow I’ll show you my completed back porch along with a $100 Lowes gift card giveaway. Speaking of giveaways, be sure to hop on over to enter the $200 Mirror Mate giveaway!

And now let’s see what awesomeness you all have been up to this week! If you’d like to link up, please be sure to read the rules.

Remember that everyone with a tip or tute is welcome to link up but only those who link back to me within their post will be featured.

Party Rules

  • Any tip or tutorial is welcome! Decorating, holiday ideas, room makeovers, cleaning tips, recipes, crafts, and sewing all count.
  • Keep content fresh! Please do not link the same projects week after week. I will delete posts that you’ve linked up here several weeks in a row.
  • If your post has been featured in a Tutes & Tips Not to Miss, please do NOT link it up again.
  • Link back. I only feature those who link back to me within your post.

Oh I hear ya Beth, I’m having a heck of a time getting my projects done and trying to find time to blog… thanks for hosting… that’s one thing I’m going to have to cut back… only one or two parties per day, at least for the summer, so I’m picking my favs with the best referrals back to my blog, and yours is one at the top! thanks, Little Bit

  9. Can’t wait to try the press n’ seal tip & I’ve never heard of the mitt. I will be looking for that very soon as I have a bannister to refurbish that I’ve been putting off due to the forty thousand spindles I’ll need to paint. Lol. Thanks for the tips! And thanks for hosting such a fun party!

  14. If I had a top 10 list of things I hate, painting spindles would be one it. I am pinning that paint roller mitt idea, even if it didn’t work as great as it looks like it would, it couldn’t be any worse than any other way of trying to paint spindles.
