I have a funny story to tell you. Last night as I was going through my pre-bed routine, I went to let the dog out. I saw on the back porch what appeared to be poop and scolded the dog for pooping on the porch. Gross! I removed the “offense” with a few tissues and hurriedly flushed it down the toilet. Now the toilet is clogged because it appears that said poop was actually—a stick. I’m an idiot. Sigh. And now I have to figure out how to turn off the water, empty the bowl by hand, unscrew and remove the toilet, and retrieve the stick-looking-poop because it refuses to come out with the snake. For now, the half-bath is simply out of commission in our home. Who has time for these things? Ugh. These are NOT the kind of projects I look forward to DIY’ing ,but if you can do it yourself you save a lot of money by not needing to call a plumber. I almost would rather call a plumber. LOL!

Yeah, much better and more fun things to do than unclog the toilet, for sure. You are right though, it saves so much money even though it is a time sucker. Hope you are able to get the bathroom functional again without too much time or money.

Oh, no, that’s funny but not! If you had been at our ladies’ group last night, you would have flushed my attempt at a burlap flower, because that brown burlap looked seriously like a doggie pile when I finished my “flower.”

Oh my goodness. I’m laughing so hard right now, because I can totally relate. We do not need these little surprise projects in our lives. My little havanese pup has a loose bladder, shall we say. When he gets excited, he will piddle. Last night, I had to remove the covering on one of our couch cushions to wash for the umpteenth time, due to his excitement that my daughter had just arrived home from school. I mean seriously. Sometimes my domestic engineer duties drive me bonkers. Thank goodness, we have not invested in nice furniture yet.
Surprise projects are the worst. If I didn’t have leather couches I’m not sure what I would do
. My pup doesn’t piddle but somehow the no food or drinks on the couch rule gets overlooked all too often!
Oh, bless your heart. I remember once when Will was about 18 months old. I was putting on my makeup in the bathroom. He picked up a bottle of perfume and just like lightning threw it into the toilet and pushed the lever. Whatcha gonna do? At least you know to take the toilet apart!

Im sorry Beth, but I laughed out loud about your horrible toilet/pet mishap! A simialr story happened to us as our dog has an ongoing love affair with baby wipes. I picked up the mess and tried to flush but immediatly clogged the toilet to overflowing! I should have known better! I hope you get it sorted out as quickly as possible!!!
