Tutorials & Tips Tuesday Link Party {28}

Welcome to the 28th link par-tay here at A2Z! One of the things I love is when a non-blogger is inspired enough by one of my projects to try it for herself! Don’t you just love that? My friend Dana doesn’t have a home blog, but she is incredibly crafty. She followed my yarn wreath tutorial and made these lovely creations.

Here is the first one Dana created but she wasn’t pleased with how the brown blended in with her door. So….

…she made another one. I love how she allowed the straw wreath to remain nearly naked for this one and just wrapped the yarn “x’s”. Nicely done Dana!

Okay, let’s see your projects from the week! Before we begin though I feel like I have to pull my hair back in a tight bun, put on my horn-rimmed glasses, and start finger-wagging the rules. I hate being a meany but there are some rules to follow here.

PLEASE READ the rules of the party before linking:

  • Any tip or tutorial is welcome! Decorating, room makeovers, cleaning tips, recipes, crafts, and sewing all count.
  • Keep content fresh! Please do not link the same projects week after week. I will start deleting posts that you’ve linked up here several weeks in a row.
  • Link back. I only feature those who link back to me within your post. I know it’s a pain, believe me I know. I link up to blog parties too. But there is a good reason for requiring a link for a link. It’s only fair in how Google ranks your page and I can’t afford a lower pagerank.
  • (Okay bun, glasses, and finger wagging session over.) Have fun! You all are amazing and I want you to enjoy the inspiration that is so freely shared here :) !

  16. Beth,

Scrolling down to leave a comment I saw soooooo many posts that I need to go visit … this party looks like a very inspiring collection of ideas and projects. Thanks so much for hosting! My post is about making a “slipcover” from wood to cover up – but not destroy, architectural elements that I’m currently not so fond of.

Love the wreaths and my front door looks very plain these days, so I’ve added that to my project list. Thanks for the idea!

  18. I love your site! I’m making the wreath, I will send you picture when I’m done… but do not promise much, for some reason my flowers don’t look as pretty as yours ;-) .

  19. Hi, your friends wreath came out great! Looks like you have tons of great link ups! Heading to check some out now :) THanks for the party!

  20. Dana did a great job on her wreaths! It must make you feel good to see that someone followed one of your tutorials and made something so beautiful.

I have trouble picturing you with your hair pulled back into a tight bun. . . but I completely agree that you should have a few rules about party participation. Surely we’re all happy to follow them in exchange for the chance to showcase our goodies here. Thank you for hosting!

  21. Thanks for hosting Beth! LOVE that second wreath! The flowers on it are so neat!

  22. Thanks for hosting. I love the wreath. I feel like I want to create one with the fabric flowers I made.

  23. Thanks for hosting! Mines not very pretty but I think it’s a pretty helpful tutorial!

  24. Thanks for hosting this great party. I have visited your site many times, but this is the first time I have linked up. I’m excited to visit some of the other great links I saw already.
