According to my very scientific and precise calculations, 63.8% of all home bloggers have purchased, DIY’ed, or taken in-store photos of this pillow. Okay, that is a blatant lie. I have no idea what the accurate number is but I’m pretty sure it is around 63.8%! Do you have any idea which pillow I am referring to? Can you spot the culprit in the following line-up? Let’s see if you really visit enough blogs to be able to identify the answer.
Ding, ding, ding! If you guessed the yellow rosette Dwell for Target pillow, then you get a cookie. (All I have are chocolate chip, so I hope those will do :).) I believe this pillow came out in fall of 2010 and 21/2 years later it is still going strong! I remember first seeing these pillows on the cover of Country Living and immediately wondering where I could incorporate them into my home. Apparently, many, many, many of you did as well!
To further my case that 63.8% of all home bloggers have purchased, DIY’ed, or taken in-store photos of this pillow here are just a few places that this pillow has popped up in living rooms across the country:
Not to be outdone by the living room, the yellow-rosette Dwell Target pillow has seen many-a-bedroom as well!
Young House Love (again)
Whether it is paired with shades of blue, green, gray, red, or black it looks fantastic and fresh. No wonder 63.8% of you have purchased, DIY’ed, or taken in-store photos of this pillow :)! So how about you? Do you fall into the 63.8% category? Have you ever posted in blog form or in social media about said pillow? Are you still smitten with this pillow? Sick of seeing it? Talk to me!

Hilarious! How did you hunt all these down!?!? Seriously good sleuthing, Beth! I’ve since put mine away, I got a little tired of it after seeing it 63% other places! 😉 and I’d sell them in a heartbeat!!
Andrea says
Seriously — if you are looking to sell — I am you buyer! I really only want one but how many do you have? What is the condition of the pillows? Can you send me a picture? I am thrilled to learn that I may potentially get my hands on the elusive Dwell Studio Target Rosette Pillow!!!!!
Katie says
I have to admit, I DIY’d a version in grey. They’re sitting on my living room couch right now : )
Nicole says
I had been noticing that this pillow was showing up in many of the blogs I had visited… thanks for the brief history of the yellow rosette pillow! (And who would have guessed… Target!?!)
Faye Rainbolt says

I wish I was one of the 63% of people who had this pretty pillow!! You hit the mark on this one Beth…you are so right…I have seen this pillow everywhere…and it looks gorgeous no matter where it is. I really, really, really, wanted one of these pillows, but they do not ship to Canada! Total bummer! Happy Monday! Angie xo
Gillian Luce says
WOW, how is it I’ve never seen that pillow at Target, but I’ve seen about 20% of those pictures you showed from blogs & never made the connection! You have a great memory & clearly this pillow is the “hot” accessory. Crazy when something is a trend how it takes the world by storm!! Thanks for sharing Beth. 🙂
Kathy@ mishmashmom says
I’m with Jeannett…I think the number is highter…I have one and still LOVE it. My readers might think it is the only pillow I own, since it ends up in so many of my posts. 🙂

Ha! I knew EXACTLY what pillow it was before I saw the picture. To be fair, it really is very cute. And, versatile!
Kelly @ EclecticallyVintage says
That pillow certainly gets around! Someone needs to lock her windows at night so she stops sneaking out!

Thanks for the link to my guest bedroom! You are SO sweet! I love my yellow flower pillow….in fact I saw it again at Target a few months ago, so if anyone still wants one be sure to keep checking!
Diane | An Extraordinary Day says
LOL!!!
I knew immediately which pillow. Immediately! It took great restraint for me not to purchase that pillow. But, after seeing it so many times all inside of a minute, maybe I’ll just have to create a version of it for myself.
p.s. Better check your numbers, Beth!! They might be a little low. (teehee) Wonder if you could find out from Target how many were sold. I bet we’d flip.
Jeannett says
You’re wrong. I think it’s 72.2% 😉
But what I really want to know is a) how on earth did you find those posts??? You can’t possibly read all of our blogs, right? A google search?
And for the record, I still adore that pillow. Which is saying a lot because I get bored easily. Ha!
Beth @A to Z says
I actually do read a ton of blogs and have a great memory so about 2/3 of the pics were from memory and the rest from a search :).
Jeannett says
OFFICIALLY impressed.

Isn’t it funny what you notice?! I love your very precise percentage as well. Very scientific! I did a similar post, but with the most used interior photography prop… Domino’s The Book of Decorating. Somethings just work!

Beth @A to Z says
Oh yes, that would definitely be the top “decorating book to decorate with”!
Jenna, SAS Interiors says
Funny post, yet so true! I personally don’t have this pillow, but I did buy it for a clients bedroom, so I guess you can throw me in the mix as well. xo Jenna

This is HILARIOUS! I’ve seen that pillow and loved it, but somehow it has never dawned on me that I’ve been seeing it in so many different places. Worse yet, somehow it never dawned on me that it was available at my local Target!!! {palm to forehead} I guess I thought everyone was hacking off the same pin?
Erin says
HA! Loved this Beth! I SO knew exactly the pillow you were talking about when I saw your post title BEFORE I even saw the picture! I love the pillow too (so chic and happy!) but have to say that I AM getting a little tired of seeing it everywhere.
birdsandsoap says
Ha! What a great post! It’s crazy to think how blogging has shaped design trends- this stuff just goes viral. And really, it’s a great pillow. Thanks to a million people who take the time to post pics, we all know how versatile this one is…I may just make a Target run! I have coveted the gray and yellow Dwell Studio quilt that goes with that line for-e-vah!

Okay, I’m a Target junkie and I’ve never even seen this pillow! How is that?

Guilty! I included it in a mood board http://www.balancinghome.com/2011/08/mood-board-west-elm-duvet-inspiration.html
Now you are kind of making me regret not buying one the million in one times I walked by them at Target.
Beth @A to Z says
I know. I kind of regret not buying it as well :).
Shatzi says
What a fun post! You have a great eye to notice that pillow so often! I’ve been seriously considering a subscription to Country Living. I have no time to read magazines, but I think I might just subscribe. =)
Beth @A to Z says
Country Living and Better Homes & Gardens are my two favs.
Julia says
I am never disappointed in my Country Living. Only when it’s over. 🙂
I noticed these pillows, too. It was only a few days ago I thought. “Is that pillow literally EVERYWHERE, or have I just seen it on Pinterest a bijillion times?” Thanks for clearing that up!
Angel/TaDa!Creations says
Guilty as charged! I first saw it in Country Living too. I’ve even hunted down one for a friend on Pinterest and shipped it to her. I have some pillow tutorials for others I’ve made to go with it over on my blog. I still love this pillow! I own two and they have graced both my bedroom and my living room at different times. What a fun post! I enjoyed seeing them in so many different rooms.

I must be the one person who had their head in the sand? I missed the fabulous Target pillow of the hour. Or, the last 2 1/2 years. LOL.
I loved it in every photo you shared though.
Maybe it did not catch my eye originally since I am a big aqua whore? Could be…

That’s so funny! I had a reader tell me she would pay whatever price I asked for my pillows! lol And one of my top search terms that results in a visit to my blog is “Taget yellow flower pillow”. insanity i tell you! {but i totally see why. they’re gorgeous!}
happy crafting,
Linda
Beth @A to Z says
Ooo, I’d be tempted to sell with that offer and your mad fabric DIY skills :).
