Need help with ideas for storing Christmas decorations? Give these ideas a try this year!
One of the best parts of the holiday season is decorating our homes, and one of the worst parts is taking all those decorations down and storing everything. In fact, some people dread it so much that they leave Christmas decorations up for months. If this is you, no judgment. 😉 Let me show you some ways that bloggers store their Christmas items, and hopefully, that will alleviate some of the after-Christmas stress. Be sure to click on the blue/gray links to say hi to the bloggers and check out any other tips they have might have to offer you!
Tip 1: Begin taking your tree down by organizing each ornament by size, color, or however it makes the most sense to you.

Tip 2: Make A Christmas Ornament Storage Box
Ornament boxes are easy to make if you follow this easy tutorial by One Good Thing! I love this idea! This is a great idea if you have lots of glass or otherwise fragile ornaments. Jillee’s blog is full of great tips and life hacks.
Tip 3: If you have specific themed trees, consider grouping the ornaments together in the same bin. These under the bed bins are perfect for this method.
Many of us have more than one tree, and each tree can sometimes be specific in theme. Storing the ornaments for each theme in the same bin is very convenient!

Tip 4: Use Christmas themed bins to help identify your Christmas decorations.
If you are someone that generally owns a lot of bins for various reasons, use red or green bins/bin tops to help you identify your Christmas bins. This is so helpful, and especially if your storage area is not heated so you’re not standing in the cold trying to find all the bins you need! That can be very frustrating. You can usually only find Christmas themed bins around the holidays, so be sure to grab them this season if you love this idea.
