I am so excited to share with you my Christmas tree and my easy peasy string tag ornaments!
The inspiration for my tree this year came from Country Living and Pottery Barn. Pretend the first two trees had some fun under the mistletoe and produced the A2Z love child tree ;)!
I kept the color palette to silver and white this year and used dollar store snowflake ornaments, mercury glass ornaments, my faux capiz garland, and a ton of string tag photo ornaments!
All of the photos on my tree were taken by LeighKm Photography this past August. I haven’t had a chance to do a gallery wall with all of my photos, so I thought it would be fun to do a gallery tree! I bought the string tags at Staples, but you can find them at any office supply store. I sized all of my pictures to fit the tags, printed them out, and attached them to the tag using spray adhesive. To add some bling, I brushed on some Martha Stewart Glitter Medium.
The tree complements the rest of the Christmas decorations beautifully. Look at how nicely the paperwhites look with the dining room in the background.
Just a fun bokeh picture because I finally can with my new camera!
These ornament picture tags would also make great Christmas tags for your presents! (I love this one with Zephan all lit up by the twinkle light shining behind it.)
And here are my little A and Z next to the A2Z tag.
How about a close-up? I ink distressed the edge of the tag, added some stickers from my stash, and created the “2” using Martha Stewart Sparkle Texture and a number stencil.
For my star, I used an old Pier 1 ornament that was previously gold and spray painted it silver. And did you notice that cute tree skirt? I’ll tell you more about it in another post, but it was 100% inspired by Marian and her HGTV.com tutorial. It’s so pretty and easy to make!
Thanks for visiting me! Be sure to link up to the Christmas mantel party if you haven’t already and you might also want to enter the Annie Sloan Chalk Paint Giveaway while you’re here! Linking up with Tatertots & Jello.

You are SO funny!! Loved how you threw in some pics of your paperwhites too! The best part about the picture tags is seeing the difference in your boys year after year! Even if you don’t keep using all of them on your tree, you can keep a couple from the prior year & add new ones from the current year 🙂 VERY creative & such a PRETTY lovechild…I mean tree!

Love this look! Truly a great keepsake for when the boys are older. You could even send these tags out instead of Christmas cards and they can be hung on the tree as an ornament instead of a card! With a cute message on the back of the tag you are in business! You could even frame them after the holidays. Nice idea. Awesome tree!

Beth you have created a beautiful tree again this year. I’m a n recycle queen myself and most of my holiday line is from paper goods. I created tag ornaments for my Holiday Boutique show tomorrow from prayer cards and religious pics. I love the idea of making something new again and giving it new life.
Happy Holidays to you and yours!!!!

I love love your tree and the photo tag ornaments are just the right touch. You will cherish those in years to come. I hang my son’s soccer buttons, first pair of glasses, first pair of shoes. Little ornaments made by little hands. Every year when I decorate our tree I have a little cry wishing I had my little guys back. You see they are now 39.36 and 34 years old, my how the time has flown. Enjoy your beautiful family and have a Merry Christmas,
Kathysue

I am speechless! Your tree is just stunning, and those photo tag ornaments are just darling. I love how they have a vintage feel, but still have sparkle! You have me inspired now! Your idea made me think how lovely it would be to do a garland of photos tags of our favorite family moments in 2011, and perhaps add to it year after year. Thanks for sharing; you never disappoint! ~Kerri, A Pop of Pretty
