Today I’m sharing my insider tips on how to affordably style your porch for Christmas using several products found on Walmart.com. If you haven’t shopped Walmart.com before, I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised! Walmart.com offers a fabulous selection of stylish, affordable, and quality Christmas items, many of which come with free 2-day shipping on orders over $35—no membership fees required. I buy most of my Walmart items on Walmart.com, and I shop by style which allows me to find exactly what I’m looking for quickly and easily. (Pssst. Click here to check out the brand Belham Living for some gorgeous farmhouse Christmas items I think you’ll adore! Many of the items I’ve ordered this year are from this brand.) I can also shop online and pick up in store today for items I need immediately. I highly recommend giving Walmart.com a try.
Tip 1: Make the faux greenery look real!
I love using fresh garlands and greenery in my Christmas decor, but unless you have access to your own forest, buying fresh greenery gets pricey year after year! Instead, I use affordable faux greenery from Walmart and add a few additional fresh or faux elements to make it look more realistic. For the garland around the door, I used two of the Holiday Time 9-Foot Spring Garland with Natural Pine Cones. I also used this same garland in my breakfast nook and love how real it looks! At less than $15 a garland it’s a beautiful option! I also used a Darice Faux Greenery Garland 6 ft Fern Leaves to add some additional texture. I cut the fern garland into small segments and stuffed the faux ferns into the garland to create the dangle effect.

Tip 2: Make your own semi-homemade Christmas wreaths.
Making your own semi-homeade wreaths for the holiday will save you a bundle and is very easy to do! The wreath on the door is the Holiday Time 24-Inch Decorative Spring Wreath and at only $12.97 it’s a steal! However, I needed three more wreaths for the porch and wanted to splurge in other areas. So instead I bought three Holiday Time 20-inch Basic Wreaths for only $2.97 a wreath and then used what I had on hand to embellish them! I hot-glued on some pine cones and stuck in a few faux branches to create a similar look to the more expensive wreath.

Tip 3: Make your Christmas porch cozy with rugs, toss blankets, and toss pillows.
Our front porch is covered and isn’t affected much by the weather which makes it fun to decorate! I love adding toss pillows, throw blankets, and rugs to cozy up outdoor spaces. The adorable Holly Jolly Christmas Tree pillow, Buffalo Check Blanket, and Hello Doormat are all from Walmart.
I also used two of the Better Homes & Gardens Handcrafted Cotton Jacquard Pillows on my rocking chairs. At only $12 a pillow they are a beautiful and inexpensive addition!

Tip 4: Create a lovely focal point on your porch.
This outdoor bar cart from Walmart serves us well in the summer and could be a fun hot chocolate stand for parties in the winter! However, I prefer to just use it as a focal point for some cute decor when it’s not in use as a beverage station. If you have an end table, blank corner, or odd space on your porch fill it with a few well-chosen accessories.
I love this $9.50 Merry & Bright Farmhouse Sign and adorable Belham Living Pom-Pom Garland. I placed a mini Christmas tree in the Nautical Glass Lantern and then used some Sugar Pine Cones I’ve collected over the years. Together these accessories brighten up an otherwise dull corner on the porch!

Tip 5: Use large inexpensive galvanized bins to hold firewood, extra toss blankets, or faux presents.
I picked up a few of these galvanized bins at Walmart last year and I use them all the time in my decor! They are versatile, practical, and pretty. On my porch I used one to display some birch logs and faux Holiday Time Snowballs. The snowballs can be found in-store and my boys enjoy throwing them at each other!
Tip 6: Add twinkle lights to your porch!
We have one electrical outlet on our porch; however, it is located in an odd place which makes adding plug-in lighting difficult. I typically opt to add a few battery operated lights to the porch instead. I was thrilled to find these adorable black lanterns from Belham Living! You get a large and a small lantern as well as two battery-operated fairy light packs for only $25! I added a few pillar candles just for looks. You could opt for a safer LED candle for more lighting.
I also used my DIY Oversized Christmas Ornaments that I made several years ago. They have battery operated fairy lights inside and look beautiful lit at night!
