Our white house with black shutters was made for cute 4th of July decorations! Come see our home all decked out in her patriotic best!
Fourth of July House Decorations
When we moved into our house exactly one year ago, I was waist high in cardboard boxes and butcher paper and wasn’t able to celebrate the 4th of July. But I knew our home would look so cute decked out with patriotic buntings, flags, and flowers! I was right! Maybe it’s why the White House is white after all. 😉
One of my favorite new decor items on the porch is this adorable eucalyptus wreath from Floral Treasure.
I stuck a few flags in the wreath for the holiday, but it comes with the adorable “Simply Blessed” chalkboard banner. I have five of their wreaths because I’m such a fan of how beautiful and well made they are! If interested, click on the affiliate link and get 10% off your order by using promo code HOMESTORIES.
I purchased the buntings, flags, and even flowers at Walmart. They always seem to have the best prices in our area for basic decor! Now is a wonderful time to scoop up some discount annuals and perennials in the clearance section!
The tasseled toss pillows in the wicker Ikea chairs are also from Walmart. In spite of being indoor pillows, they have held up great on the covered porch.
The green tin mailbox isn’t our “real” mailbox but this city girl has missed having a cute mailbox on the porch! I added this one at Christmas time and it was too cute to take down.
I hope to add some flower boxes to the house, paint the porch ceiling, and make a few other changes to the landscaping, but for now I’m pleased with our curb appeal!

Your new house is looking very nice. I can’t wait to see the rest of it in future blogs. I loved your previous house, and I’m sure you put a ton of love and creativity into getting it just the way you wanted it. But, the new house is lovely too, and with your talent and abilities, it will be a wonderful new home for you and your family. Never be afraid to ask for what you need or want. Only by asking, shall we receive!
