Looking for ways to help declutter your home? I have a simple tip that will help you!
Hi there! If you’ve been reading my blog for any length of time, you’ll see that my main focus in on home decor. I’m in no way a professional organizer, but I do have a super helpful tip that can change your home: organize your small items into baskets! Many professional organizers are NOT a fan of baskets because baskets themselves can hide clutter. My opinion is that we are all in a different state of organization and decluttering, and baskets have always helped me maintain organization in my home. You can get rid of half of your household items and yet you’re still going to have STUFF, and you need somewhere to put your stuff! Plain and simple. Let me show you some cute ways to use baskets in your home, and also, where to purchase them! 1. KITCHEN ORGANIZATION WITH BASKETS:
Keep your counters free of paper clutter with baskets on the side of your island! Store your weekly recipe cards, or even make a small command center for your family. You can find my fall and spring kitchen tours here: Spring Home Tour and Fall Kitchen Tour
Containers and baskets help group similar items together, and that always helps in organization! Our previous home had a smaller kitchen, and the wooden crates held our vitamins and supplements. The baskets up top held items that we used infrequently such as holiday trays. This is proof that storage can be cute and functional!
2. PANTRY ORGANIZATION WITH BASKETS

I love this pantry organization by Eleven Gables! The baskets are perfectly sized for her shelves. You can see what is inside them, and the baskets are labeled. Perfect!
3. MUDROOM AND ENTRYWAY ORGANIZATION WITH BASKETS

I love the baskets on the top portion of our built-in mudroom! They store our hats, gloves, umbrellas, and pet items. Our mudroom went through an amazing makeover a few years ago, and you can read all about that here: Mudroom Makeover from Messy to Magnificent
These chicken wire baskets are great in our storage cube right inside our entryway. The possibilities are endless for how you could use a storage cube, and there are lots of ways to make them cute without being cluttered. 4. LAUNDRY ROOM ORGANIZATION WITH BASKETS

Filling in an awkward space above cabinets is perfectly accomplished by using baskets! I love the uniformed look of these baskets that add texture and warmth to our laundry room. Measure your space before you purchase your baskets. This idea could be used in garages, kitchens, closets, etc – anywhere you have cabinets. You could even label them to be even more organized!

5. BATHROOM ORGANIZATION WITH BASKETS

Bathroom areas are always filled with small, necessary items. Baskets help hide some of the items you need everyday, but do not necessarily want to look at every time you walk into your bathroom. 6. DINING ROOM ORGANIZATION WITH BASKETS

7. OFFICE SPACE ORGANIZATION WITH BASKETS
Use as many or as few baskets as are necessary. If extra baskets equate to clutter in your life, simply to what works for you!

8. CLOSET SPACE ORGANIZATION WITH BASKETS

Great for Mail Order catalogs, DVD’s, Directory’s and so much more!
Also, use them in Studio One (my creative space) for fabric!
