If you are anything like me, then you tire of the same look after awhile but do not want to spend much money to update your space. I wanted to refresh our master bedroom for summer and just create a slightly different look for fun. Here is what our bedroom looks like on most days:
And here is what it looks like today:
Two slightly different looks, and I love both! I view the rooms in my house similarly to my outfits. I love to mix and match my dresses, blouses, jewelry, and shoes the same way I love to mix and match my toss pillows, lamps, accessories, and furnishings. Nothing in the house is bolted down and can be freely moved between rooms as you see fit!
I switched out my old lamps with these brass lamps from HomeGoods and love the simple change! My husband and I do a lot of reading at night and these are perfect for being able to see your kindle–while not being so bright as to keep the other awake.
I also love how the brass of the lamp ties in the brass on the bed’s nailhead trim and the brass on the mirror.
In case you want to know the sources of the items in the room, I have them listed below as well as some similar affiliate linked items. Next time you become tired of a room, don’t be afraid to make just a few very small changes to freshen the entire space!
Bedroom sources:
- Bedframe: Joss & Main or try this one.
- Lamps: HomeGoods or for a similar one try this one.
- Nightstands: Kirkland’s
- Toss pillows: HomeGoods or try these.
- Floral toss pillow: Homemade. For a similar look try this fabric.
Where did you get your bedroom rug?
I’m having trouble remembering but I think it was from Overstock. Here is a similar flokati rug: http://rstyle.me/~9I4II
I totally understand about the wanting to change a space ,but on a budget!! I’m in that boat right now { Changing our all our bedroom decor} but not wanting to break the bank haha! The simple changes that don’t take much like accessories are perfect!! I LOVE the brass lamps , they bring out the lovely bed so much & are so cheery & the biggest thing is the FUNCTIONALITY!!

Thanks Paige! Good luck on your own bedroom updates!
I love those lamps Beth! Just beautiful
Thanks Gilly!
I think one of those lamps would be a big asset to our largely still undecorated bedroom.
Love the lightened up look, you had me at polka dots! 🙂
Thanks so much Kimm!
