Create a cute halloween porch easily and affordably with just a few simple touches!
This post is sponsored by Walmart and all opinions about the cute decor are my own. Thank you Walmart for sponsoring this post! Post contains affiliate links.
This boy of mine pictured below, Zephan, turns 13 in less than a month. He was just one-years-old when I started blogging, and he is the “Z” in my “A to Z”. Over the years, Zeph has watched me create magic for each and every holiday! However, in recent years I stopped doing much for Halloween and didn’t think the boys’ cared or noticed. I was wrong! Zephan asked me if I was going to do anything this year for Halloween with Halloween being NEXT WEEK!
Thank goodness for Walmart and Walmart.com. Even at this late date, I was able to purchase everything I needed including Halloween candy, decorations, and costumes and have some of the items shipped right to my door, or to the store. Many Walmart items have a Next Day Delivery or in-store pickup option which is so convenient! For example, if you need a costume ASAP click the “NextDay delivery” box on the left hand menu to shop for costumes that are eligible for quick shipping. You can click here to browse what’s available to be shipped to you in time!
Add a Posable Skeleton to your Halloween Porch
My favorite Halloween find on Walmart.com was this fun posable skeleton! It adds such a cute and spooky vibe to the porch. It is priced at only $29.97 which is much more affordable than what I had previously seen elsewhere. The skeleton does stand up on it’s own, but I found it was better supported (and way cuter) in my boots!
Layer on a Halloween Wreath
I found this Halloween Witch Wreath in-store at Walmart, but you can find many different Halloween wreath styles here online. One of my favorite tricks to making an inexpensive wreath look more lush is to layer my wreaths. Attach your smaller wreath to a larger one using some fishing line to give it more color and texture. The wreaths are hanging from a command hook placed on the glass of the door. I also added some Halloween mesh and gauze above the doorway to add to the spooky factor. I just layered the fabrics and tucked them in around the door frame molding.
Find Costumes for Everyone in the Family
I couldn’t resist buying these ridiculously adorable dog costumes for Pippin and Eowyn our Pomeranians! Walmart has some amazing costumes at amazing prices both in-store and online.
Pippin is going as a spider this year, and I seriously cannot think of anything scarier! I am deathly afraid of spiders, excluding this cute one.
Eowyn is going as a unicorn pegasus.
Oh my word, they are so cute!!
I didn’t DARE try and put Sprockets in a costume but instead decided to take inspiration from him for my own. I’m a cat. Duh! (Name that movie reference for extra Halloween candy!) Walmart has a bunch of cute Halloween tops for those of us not quite wanting to commit to a full costume.
Don’t Forget the Halloween Candy
It may be witchful thinking that these Reese’s are going to be around in a week for the trick-or-treaters! But I guess if I run out I’ll just have to buy more Halloween candy online and have it shipped to my door!
Yes please, Mr. Skeleton! Don’t mind if I do!
I hope you feel inspired to get Halloween ready even if you haven’t yet! You can do it and still have time! Shop my sources below for all Walmart items in this post.
