My boys are much more likely to eat foods they don’t like if it looks cute. My oldest hates apples and strawberries, so here’s to hoping that cute wins him over! I’ll let you know. (My youngest adores all-things-fruit, so cute presentation is just icing on the cake for him. 🙂
I recently saw a similar idea in a magazine using cantaloupe slices. Sorry, I can’t remember which one. I didn’t have cantaloupe, so I improvised with apples. However, this would work with a banana, orange, peach, watermelon, etc. Use your imagination mommies and make it fun for your kiddos! Actually, these would make sweet place cards for kids and adults alike. Hmmmm, I’ll have to remember that for my next dinner party.
If you decide to make your own fruit boat, please link back to me. I’d love to see your creations!

This boat is adorable! I'm going to have to try it with my girls. I read that putting apples slices in Sprite will stop the browning process…I haven't tried it yet, but I'm going to try it this summer!

Yes, Asher had a great time playing with it and they looked adorable at dinner time. Did he eat it you ask? No. Little brother ate both of theirs. Next time I'll just do it with fruit he likes and put it on the skewer in the middle for a little fruit kabob. It was worth it to see their faces of joy though!

Very cute! I'm sure Asher had a good time playing with it. Of course, it looks especially adorable with the bay in the background!
