I am not managing all that is coming at me very well these days. I was sick for an entire week last week, and had some unexpected stressors pop up just to make things even more interesting. (I’ll spare you the details.) I haven’t started my Christmas shopping yet, and I have a stack of end-of-the-year bills staring at me with beady, accusing, superego eyes.
Hubby has been pleading with me to plan a Christmas breakfast for the neighbors. This Saturday is the only chance we have left. I also hadn’t come up with a Christmas gift for the neighbors yet and was dreading all that baking. Then….EUREKA. I had a great idea where s’mores and Scrapblog.com would come together to solve all my problems! I was reading a blog post from Jeanette@Starting Over and she highlighted a cute s’mores kit idea that she had seen over at Christy@Southern Plate. I adore s’mores and I knew with Scrapblog’s help, I could make this idea look adorable.
Here is a picture below of my assembly process. I made my labels on Scrapblog, downloaded them to Word, and sized them to my liking. I printed them out on my home printer and adhered them to my wrapped s’mores packages with double sided tape.
They looked so cute!
On one side of the label was our name and home number at the top and a Christmas Greeting in the center.
On the back of the label, I typed out the invitation to the breakfast. Now do I really plan on having smores for breakfast? No. But now I feel like I’ll need to have some available just to feel like I’m finishing the theme I started. We’ll see.
Yeah. That’s pretty much it. I made s’more invites today, and I think they’re cute and I think you will too. Below are way too many pictures of their cuteness for your oogling, ooooing and aaaahhhing pleasure. Enjoy!
I told you they were cute! Now, I think I’ll go make myself a cup of cocoa to throw in all those small marshmallows that are currently all over my counter :).

Marianne,
Oh my goodness! I'm so honored to get to be the one to introduce you to s'mores!!! The name comes from the delicious aspect of the treat—anyone who eats one will want some more or "s'more". S'mores are typically made while camping around the campfire. You take a graham cracker and break it half to make a sandwich. You place your choice of chocolate on one side of the graham cracker (or both if you're feeling gluttonous). You place the marshmallow on the end of a stick and roast it over the fire. Everyone has their opinion on a perfectly roasted marshmallow. Some like it burnt. Some like it barely brown. I like mine perfectly golden brown all the way around. Once your marshmallow is puffy and delicious, you place it on your chocolate and make a sandwich with your other cracker. The warmth of the marshmallow melts the chocolate and gives you and ooey-gooey fantastic treat.
To make them indoors, you can toast your marshmallow over your gas stove by placing it on the end of a knife. Some like to just pop it in the microwave, but I'm not a fan of this method. I only wish I could make one for you Marianne!
Blessings,
Beth

Those are really cute! I feel the same way as you. It is overwhelming everything that is going on this time of the year. I decided that I needed to take some time for my family for the next week.
Love that idea. I hope your breakfast goes well. I am sure it will be great!

I'm so mad I'm 16th and not 1st because I love this idea and I want you to know that I love it most!!! So cute Beth! You are really turnin' the heat up on 'em, huh? I think I might even steal this idea, minus the breakfast. You outdid yourself, and now I'm sure the neighbors are all worried about coming over to your house and seeing everything so perfect because it's clearly obvious that "this" is your domain, after you h and delivered these beautiful s'mores packages door to door. I love it. And I'm going to buy a home in your neighborhood before the weekend, since I want to come now! 🙂 Btw, how many people are coming??? And I hope you can manage to take some photos!
Okay, I'm not writing anymore about this. I'm gushing too much!!
