Father’s Day is rapidly approaching and if you’re a procrastinator like me, then you haven’t really given it much thought yet! AND if your kids aren’t old enough to do much in the gift-giving department, then it’s time to begin thinking about how to honor the baby daddy in your life! Sometimes it is just fun to give the father of your children a gift of appreciation, letting them know that they are loved and adored by their wife. I’ve selected 18 husband-approved Father’s Day gifts–and not one of them is a tie! Affiliate links are included.
Let’s start out with the eyebrow raiser. This gift wins the “most likely to be appreciated by your man” award. And let’s face it, this gift could even lead to subsequent opportunities to being called Daddy! 😉 My friend and fellow blogger, Monica from the blog East Coast Creative, has designed a fun gift idea called The Game of Love. It is a customizable bedroom board game printed onto a fitted sheet and ready for you to customize. Using the included, washable fabric markers, you fill in each space with an activity, question, gift, or another idea from The Idea Vault. When you’re ready to play, you and your man will roll the die and together, move along the game board completing each space. This is a fun private way to thank your man for being an amazing husband and father!
I must say that am not a fan of the beard. I prefer my men clean shaven, but I know beards have really gained a wider acceptance and popularity in recent years. There seems to be some sort of positive correlation between a man’s sense-of-manliness and the length of his facial hair. If your man is a fan of the beard, then you might want to check out Honest Amish Beard Balm. It received 4.5 stars from 1,872 reviews which let’s you know it’s a popular product! It helps style, condition, grow, and maintain a beard. If my man has to be bearded, then a soft, flake-free, well-groomed beard is definitely preferred!
3. Nose, Ear & Facial Hair Trimmer Wet/Dry
While beard hair might be welcomed, most men (hopefully) agree that nose and ear hair aren’t nearly as sexy. I gave my husband this nose trimmer a few years ago as a gag gift, and to my surprise he loved it!
My husband likes to organize his life by using various bags. He has a gym bag, tool bag, book group bag, and several teacher work bags. He likes messenger bags for work because they are professional but not stuffy, classy but not a briefcase. The Samsonite Colombian Leather Flapover Case fits the bill!
5. Drone
Prepare to be called the coolest wife ever if you buy your husband a drone for Father’s Day. It’s a toy remote control hellicopter/camera for big boys and something fun they can do with the kids. This model, the UDI U818A Quadcopter with Camera, was rated as the best drone for beginners. I don’t know much about drones, but apparently battery life is very limited. This one only lasts for 7-9 minutes before needing to be recharged.
A phone charger that only needs the sun is perfect for camping trips or an active man. The Nexcon Solar Panel Charger receives high praise for charging several devices on sunny days.
7. LED Headlamp
This LED Headlamp is incredibly inexpensive (on sale for $7) and is useful to own. Whether your guy is setting up a tent at night while camping, crawling under your home’s crawlspace, or putting together an Ikea piece of furniture in a dimly lit area, this headlamp will make the job easier!
Give your husband and kids the gift of DIY! This book gives you building plans to create all sorts of summer fun such as a BMX ramp or half-pipe, a tree house, tire swing, slip-and-slide, and tie-dye station.
This engraved hammer is a cute gift idea. For an even less expensive option you could create your own using vinyl, a wood burner, or a dremel!
10. Dremel
Speaking of a Dremel, if your guy doesn’t own one of these this is a fantastic gift! We use ours all the time for small projects around the house and DIY craft projects.
Every man, woman, girl, and boy should own a good leatherman! Those little scissors definitely come in handy in a pinch!
This stuff is award winning and received 5 out of 5 stars from more than 400 reviewers. If hot sauce is your guys’ thing, then this might be the (hot) stuff to get!
13. Koffee Kult Coffee Beans Dark Roasted
Koffee Kult coffee has it’s own cult following and coffee connoisseurs will tell you that it’s some of the best stuff out there. If your guy takes his black and is a bit of a coffee-snob, then he will appreciate this gift!
Pick out six of your guy’s favorite drinks and gift them in this adorable Wooden Beer Carrier. Boom. Instant Father’s Day gift!
15. Whirley-Pop Stovetop Popcorn Popper
Have you had stovetop popcorn recently? Do you remember how good it tastes? Stovetop popcorn is incredibly easy and foolproof to make with a Whirley-Pop. Include his favorite movie with this gift to make it even sweeter!
16. Kitchen Claws
These Kitchen Claws are great for grilling, shredding meat, and shredding salads. And, of course, the grill master in your life will get to pretend he is Wolverine every time he grills. Obvious bonus. 😉
17. Chef Remi Cooking Thermometer
The Chef Remi Cooking Thermometer is rated as the #1 meat thermometer. If you don’t have a meat thermometer, do yourself a favor and buy one! My sister recommended this tip to me earlier this year and she was right. Instead of guessing at temps, you just stab it and see if it’s ready. So stupid simple and it will improve your man’s grilling endeavors this summer exponentially!
18. Silicone BBQ Oven Cooking Gloves
Maybe my floral hotpads are too girly for my man, but I’ve noticed that in the kitchen he will make some unsafe choices when working with hot items. The Silicone BBQ Oven Cooking Gloves are great for grilling, baking, and even canning.
