Over the past several years, I have experienced many disappointments, strains, and losses. My suffering has been trivial in comparison to some and insurmountable to others. But like the rest of us, I am human and get downhearted when life isn’t going my way. How do I fight depression? Through prayer, scripture, friendships, meds, chocolate, and shopping!
I bought this adorable ruffle blouse at Ross for around $14. It is the perfect summer top and looks great with my pleated poppy petal pusher that I stick in my hair.
Just look at all those beautiful ruffles!
I found these fabulous rings for $4 at Charlotte Russe.
These adorable ruffle wedges come in black too! From where you ask? PAYLESS!!!
The detail is so cute.
I was going to make one of these tees for myself, but when I found this shirt for $3 at Gabriel Brothers I figured, why bother?
These little flowers used to look better before the shirt was washed, but I still heart them.
The shirt looks great with brown capris and my new brown wedges! Yep, Payless again!
Hello cute bow…
I have mentioned several times on my blog that I love to wear cute pj’s. Charlotte Russe currently has a bunch of mix and match pj’s that I deem Beth-worthy. Here is what I picked out for myself.
I love white eyelet almost as much as ruffles!
Flirty, feminine, and comfy…
And here is my birthday AND Christmas present….
Aaaack! I’m so excited for this beauty to arrive so I can roll around in all that glorious ruching! Pics to soon follow!
How about you? Any retail therapy happening on your end?

i'm a sucker for some wedges–love yours.
So so cute Beth….I do not have enough ruffles…you have inspired me to seek out more. Beth when you have a moment I would love for you to pop over to my blog and check out my audition video for Oprah….If you like it you can vote, have your friends vote, have your followers vote……and perhaps give a shout out too….just a teeny thought:) Thanks Debbie
I love your style! Great finds, especially at payless??? who knew? The white ruffly shoes are on sale now for $11. I should just order them on line..they are awesome!
I can't believe those wedges are from Payless! Love them!
I love every single thing you picked out! All the ruffles and bows are so cute!
I have that exact bedding on my birthday wishlist. My birthday is in July, and I can't wait to order it! 🙂
You are too cute. What great finds! Thanks for the inspiration to go shopping. 🙂
Thanks Beth! I'm supposed to be saving! Payless here I come.
I used to do art and crafting a lot more to reduce stress. These days since I have the little one I go out for a walk, even if it's at the mall. I cook too. And if all fails, I watch "Rocky IV" with the hubs and order chinesse 🙂
OMG, I love it all! Thanks, now I have to go shopping!
BTW, I hid a link to you on my post yesterday!
Ruffles do make my heart happy!
OH my dear friend, after all you have been through the last little while, you shop your heart out! I love the super cute shoes. I about melted when I saw that amazing bedding, I can't wait for pictures. My retail therapy is at the thrift store. I see something and I know that it can be amazing with a little help from me!
Ooh everything is so pretty that you bought. I love that ruffle top, so pretty on you. I need some retail therapy too. 🙂 I adore that bedding. Lucky you!
I haven't been brave enough to try wedges, but I think I need to just do it! Too cute 🙂
Just today I found a beautiful cream color light weight quilt and two huge decorative pillows at TJ Maxx for awesome prices! We are freshening up our master before moving on to our first baby room. I figure we're gonna need a relaxing oasis room here pretty soon when baby makes an appearance in October 🙂
Shopping soothes the soul!! And my soul is soothed for a VERY long time after my shopping last weekend. 🙂 I put your precious flowerpot brownies on my FB page — darling!!
I just left you a present on my page http://greengraciehome.blogspot.com/2010/06/wow-what-honor.html
xoxo Bev
Lucky you.. Awesome buys!
ooooo Beth how gorgeous!!!!!!!!!! I too am a ruffle fan! I luv the flowers and ruffles! I totally now must visit our local Payless and see if they have those wedges in my size! LOL I rarely wear a heel but wedges I LOVE!
Yep, my husband was apparently abducted by aliens and the replacement went nuts at an outlet mall! I came home with 4 pairs of shoes–Sketcher Tone Ups and 3 pairs of Bjorndal sandals. AND 4 dresses from DressBarn! I honestly think he would have kept buying, but I started getting this nasty case of the guilts and made him stop.
I love it all! I hope you're feeling better.
Can't wait to see the bedding in your room. 🙂
I feel some retail therapy in my future, too.
You found some amazing deals! It makes me want to shop too 🙂
Cute, cute, cute.
Isn't it amazing how much getting a new little treasure can lift your spirits?
I just had the most wonderful session of retail therapy of my whole life. With my husband. On our anniversary. Part of one of the best days of my life. Wow!
Glad you're coping. . . and glad you're getting new bedding to go with that nice bedbug-free new bed!
These tiny pleats and ruffles remind of the wedding dress I would have killed for, but could not afford.:( Love these images, Beth 🙂 They remind me of that day.
Well helllloooo payless! Those are such cute shoes! I love the bedding ah! If I would get white it would be a disaster.
You know, I really do not like trying on clothes. It's a terrible handicap because I love pretty things!
You definitely know pretty!! The prices you paid are amazing too!
I hope you're feeling a bit better now!! 🙂
I opted for some re-fashion therapy this week. The white tee upcycle I posted today goes right along with your theme. Click over and take a look, if you have time! LOVE that bedding!
I am on my way to Payless right now!!! Those are awesome! Your tops are so cute and your bedding is fantastic! Can't wait to see it in your room! That is sooooo you!
I LOVE ruffles!! I have the ruffle wedges from payless but mine are brown, I wear them all the time :). They also had them in yellow and I was very tempted.
I do love ruffles and I {heart} Payless. I get lots of compliments on my shoes, and many of them come from Payless.
I LOVE your bedding!!! How do/will you keep the kids off of it? Or will you just wash it a lot? I have a white bedspread I'd love to use, but I'm a little skeered. 😉
Not at the moment, although I did go shopping with a client last Saturday. I am planning a Goodwill trip this weekend since I have stuff to drop off. Might as well look around while I'm there!
Everything is so pretty and girly- I love them all!
My daughter saw the picture of the shoes and said, "hmmm, I wonder if our Payless has those?"
I feel a request to the mall coming up!
You got the bedding. I remember it being on a wish list. Mother's Day maybe? So 'sited for you 😉
I adore ruffles, too. The top looks great on you and I love those jammies!! And the shoes…sigh
xoxo
Janie
I heart ruffles! The bedding is from Anthropologie, no? LOVE it! I want it too – it's all in the timing! =)
Jeanine
Wow!! That is some fabulous bedding!!!
Pretty pretty Beth! You could model for a magazine…really. Just beautiful 🙂
My retail therapy includes a weekly trip to Goodwill – I know what days their Target returns are delivered 🙂 I just found a new Keurig coffee maker for only $28 – I was SO excited. I also found a beautiful Liz Claiborne purse in new condition for $7. My other (secretly) fun thing to do is drive around the neighborhood around trash day and see what furniture people leave out for the trash man to take. So many things have potential!
Love your new blouse and shoes – I have the same love of ruffles, white and bows on shoes!
I heart ruffles too….anything with ruffles. Sometimes though, they do make my "DD girls" look WAY too big! BUT, I still try to find cute shirts and especially shoes with details. I adore your shoes…..makes me want to go to Payless like RIGHT NOW!!!
I am right there with you….what is better therapy than chocolate, shopping, and an ice cold Sun-Drop (Southern liquid heaven…kinda like Mt. Dew but WAYS better).
Thanks for sharing! BTW, your flower pot brownies were too cute. Did you do anything special to the pots BEFORE filling them with the brownie mix. Just wondering if they are food-safe?
