A reader recently emailed to ask where Part 2 of the Coastal Virginia Idea House Tour was on my blog. Where indeed?! Well, I am pleased to report that the wait is over and the full Coastal Virginia Idea House tour is now available! Feel free to share this post with all of your beach-home loving friends. There are so many wonderful decor, DIY, and design ideas to glean from this coastal luxury home. I’m excited to highlight a few of them for you as we go along.
If you missed Part 1 and the coastal kitchen tour, you will want to check those out first before continuing with the tour.
Coastal Laundry Room/Gift Wrap Room
I love the idea of combining an organized laundry room with a small gift wrap and craft nook. If you have space to create an extra work station in your laundry room, then why not have this space work double duty for your family? The doorway greets you with a transom window and glass door—creating a beautiful focal point in the hallway. Steal this idea: 757 is the area code for this part of Virginia and the vinyl lettering and numbers make the entire space more personal with a vintage touch.
Steal this idea: The window treatments in the laundry room appear to be folded burlap hung with clothespins. So simple and cute!
The laundry room is laid out with front loaders on either side of the laundry sink with a custom wood block counter. The counter takes advantage of surface space and provides a functional area for folding clothes and storing supplies. Open cabinets above the laundry machines allow for chic open storage.
Steal this idea: Glass jars are used to keep laundry detergent, dryer sheets, and loose pocket change tucked away and organized.
Steal this idea: A painted board, chalkboard vinyl label, and clothes pins are all the materials you need to create this fun and functional “lost & found” art.
This two-way laundry closet is my favorite aspect of the laundry room! Baskets of clean clothes can easily be moved out of the laundry room–ready to put away.

Gift Wrap Craft Nook
This little work station is great for wrapping gifts, creating small crafts, or sewing on a misplaced button!
Steal this idea:Â Attach small mason jars to a board using adjustable pipe clamps to create easy and accessible craft storage.
  Â
I’m not a fan of doing laundry but I think this room would make it much more bearable! Check out the lovely round window and lofted ceiling.

One last look back before we move on to the bedrooms!
