My love found window weights sitting out by the trash on our street and new I’d love them. He was trying to hide them from me until he had a chance to clean them up a bit. I was too quick though. I was thrilled with my gift! These things just look cool. Hubs said to me, “I saw them and thought of you! But…what the heck are you going to do with them?” What do you do with flowers? What do you do with throw pillows? What do you do with cool looking things? You just place them in a beautiful way and admire them! So, I have no idea what I’m going to do with my antique window weights but I’m sure I’ll think of something. These things are HEAVY! Each one weighs about 10lbs.
I asked him to show off his strength here. He was embarrassed. He also looks a bit angelic here, doesn’t he? He is indeed a good, good man and I am so blessed to call him mine!
Some girls love jewels and fancy dinners out. I’m certainly not opposed to those, but some interesting free junk thrills my heart and makes me feel loved as well!
What makes you feel loved?

I just found you through Todays Creative Blog and have to say, you have more eye candy than I think is good for me. It makes me spend too much money, and drool on my keyboard. I love your blog! Can't wait to see what else you have hiding in back posts. And future posts for that matter.

My husband has random "I Love You Days" where he'll do something for me just because he loves me. Sometimes, it's letting me pick where we're going for dinner and sometimes is just taking me to see a movie I'd like or one time, it was taking me to a paint-your-own pottery place to spend some time getting my craft on.
Since we've had our daughter 3 weeks ago, he even expanded it to her…which makes me smile too. Knowing he loves our child makes me feel loved.

No two folks can live together without having ups and downs…its the love for each other that is important and being able to get past the ups and downs. Beautiful flowers and handsome hubby.

I am so glad to hear so many women feel loved by their hubs! To those of you new here, welcome! I'm thrilled to have you stop by and visit. To those of you wondering what the heck I'm going to do with all those window weights….no idea! I'm hoping inspiration will hit at some point and you can bet I'll post about if/when it does!

You are indeed blessed!! I just had to sneak one out of the trash 'cause my husband didn't want me to keep one that had come out of our own house!!! I can't wait to see what you do with them – I have no idea what to do with mine but I have to keep it hidden until I come up with something 🙂

I am interested to see what you will do with these! I am blessed to have a sweet husband in my life as well. He does many wonderful things for me all the time, but my last favorite thing he did was bring me a snow cone at work this summer.

I have some of those. My hubby removed them from our house when he was repairing old windows. They are sitting in our yard getting really rusty. What in the world are you going to do with them? Perhaps I should go save them before more damage is done?

That's pretty fantastic! I can't wait to see what you do with them. What a fun find!

You have such a beautiful blog and I love your decor style. Especially love that little checker table with the cherries on your last post.
I found your blog just by accident today when checking out the facebook Pottery Barn page. I became a follower today. I want to come back to see more.

Hi Beth! I just wanted to say first off how much I adore you and your blog. 🙂 This post really hit home with me because as much as I love the big romantic dinners and diamonds nothing takes my breath away quite like when my hubbie brings me home something that shows he "gets" me (even if someone else would think it was worthless 🙂 )

What a sweet man!!! Boy… he can't deny A and Z now can he?!? Isn't it nice to be with someone who loves you that much that they just know you? I am a blessed woman too with mine. He is wonderful. Pretty lucky, aren't we? 🙂

I was blessed to find your blog this week and I just can't get enough. I am so inspired by your beautiful treasures! I now want to redo my whole house. I went to a great new thrift store today and found some treasures and then found some more at a yard sale. I can't wait to get started and my husband is actually excited too.
Now I have to do some research and learn about paints, primers and mod podge (sp). I love it!

These window weights are better than any flowers, chocolates, etc. cause they'll last forever! I love them. What a sweet husband! Enjoy…

I say you are one lucky gal.
I have to wonder though… should a man say he sees dirty window weights and thinks of his wife? Just saying.
And, just kidding!
Beverly @ The Buzz says
How much time do you have? 😉
My hubby hides Milky Ways in the freezer and brings them out when I need a chocolate fix. HE wakes ME up on Saturday mornings to go to yard sales. And will actually turn around if he sees a sign and I don't. Oh, and remember he's the man who thinks a woman can't have enough shoes!
34 years together and it just keeps getting better and better!

Your hubby is soo cute!!! And yes he does look angelic, like he is glowing with proudness (I'm just making up words here on the whim..just sayin) I am still getting my husband to that point of seeing something I love and getting it, whether its free or not! He still has no clue!
Janet - Birdland Treasures says
For so long my dear hubby would roll his eyes when I would stop the car to pick something cool off the curb (oh yes, I've done that! LOL)… then one day he proudly took me out to the patio to show me what he had "picked", JUST BECAUSE he knew I would love it – a scrolly iron plant stand for the patio! The plant stand was very cool, but even better was that he saw something roadside, knew I would love it, and decided to actually stop and grab it even though he probably thought it was a ridiculous thing to do! 🙂 Hats off to your sweet hubby, it was a very nice thing to do! (And the window weights are AWESOME!!)
