Are you ready to paper some balls, ladies?
What you’ll need:
- Styrofoam balls (I used 2 1/2 inch ones)
- Strips of paper
- Glue gun
- Ribbon (optional)
- Coke Zero, dark chocolate, and music from Pandora.com (Okay, so these are optional as well. However, I highly recommend these items for increased enjoyment of the project and helping to keep any crass words at bay which might creep up when burning oneself with the glue gun.  Not that I speak from experience or anything.  Just a suggestion of course. 🙂
Oooo, this is totally cute. Â What is it about nests? Â I want to NOT like them because they are trendy, and yet…I love them.
This project cost me nada. I had all the supplies waiting for me in my craft closet. Â I’m not sure I’m going to keep the balls in the nest or not because I just thought of another creative way to use them on my mantel. Â You’ll have to come back Thursday night to see! Â Speaking of which, don’t forget to decorate your mantels and link up Thursday night at 10pm through Saturday for the weekly Mantel Party! Â Grab the button code on my sidebar and spread the word. Â Hope to see you there.

You did great! I hope mine turn out this well. I think the trick is how wide your strip is in comparison with your balls. Do you agree? I tried doing the easter eggs with fabric strips and I didnt do so good.

How clever! I think a bowl of them in a library setting would be gorgeous with some vintage papers

It's sad after living with boys for awhile that I laugh when I read the word "balls." My boys are not even allowed to call "them" "balls." We have to be anatomically correct around here, but it's still kinda funny in a totally juvenile way.
Oops – I kinda got off the real topic there. I love this project. So cute!
I can't wait for the Mantel Party this Friday. I still don't have anything on my mantel but nerf bullets and junk we don't want the dogs to eat. Gotta work on that….

Those are adorable! Very cute and fun! I told my friends about your mantle party. I hope it's a huge success. I am still working on my Valentine's mantle. It probably won't be done until next week. I have a few more projects I want to do before I unveil it!

Love these! How cute and easy. Love your blog, I'll be stopping by more often. And FYI: I can relate on the lady-ness thing. I normally am sophisticated but every once in a while I say "I gotta pee" and my Dad cringes. Eh, you can't win 'em all!

I have to do something with at least one of my mantel's this week so I can link up this time! You ARE bad! I snickered every time I read the word "balls" in your post. : ) I've got 10 years on you, Beth, and my Mom still scolds me sometimes, too! It's just that bond between parents and children {no matter what your age}.

Thats just to cute. Great job.

That is super-cute. I might even do that, and I do not do self-directed home crafts generally. I'm thinking of what I might like to cover them with – maybe some of Maren's designs!. Book pages were TOTALLY a cute idea. Good work, girl.
