Have you heard of Flux Flap yet? I hadn’t either, and after watching the video below I was totally sold! If you have ever wrestled with your iPad case, or used a myriad of random objects to try and make the darn thing stay at the angle you want it at, then you are going to LOVE the Flux Flap. It is a magnetic iPad Case with a removable flap cover that also doubles as a stand. What makes it different from other cases you ask? The neodymium magnets (think magnets with superpowers) that grip and lock your iPad into place make this iPad case the best of its kind. The FluxFlap can be positioned to virtually any viewing angle and will stick to metal surfaces. If your fridge takes magnets, it will also take the FluxFlap! Stick your iPad onto your fridge with your to-do list, or perhaps to the side of your file cabinet as you facetime with a coworker. The FluxFlap is incredibly versatile and positions as a stand or can be flipped over to prevent glares. It’s so much better if you see it for yourself though! Hit play on the video below to see it in action. I think you’ll want to fist-bump Kenny Trythall, the creator of Flux Flap, right along with me after watching!
I do a bunch of step-by-step tutorials on this blog which require a bunch of step-by-step photos. My beauty shots are taken with my DSLR camera, but all of those in between photos are typically taken with either an iPad or an iPhone. Trying to balance the iPad while I get my hand in a shot to show you how to do something is nothing short of comical. It is a challenge! If you are a blogger or etsy shop owner, I think we can all agree that an iPad case that doubles as a tripod is a necessity!
Have you ever tried to balance your iPad case on the back of the couch to grab a quick family pic? How’d that work out for ya? With the FluxFlap you don’t have to worry about your case collapsing and toppling to the floor. It will stay put! What a novel idea, eh?
Another feature that I appreciate about the FluxFlap is it’s ergonomic design and ability to stay at any angle. I attend a lot of blog conferences, and I like to take notes during sessions. The FluxFlap allows you to get the best position for typing on your iPad and even provides a bit of privacy as you type.
And how about when following recipes, tutorials, or watching a video on the iPad while multi-tasking? We need a case that we can position any-which-way-we-like so that we don’t have to keep running back and forth up to the screen to try and see what it says!
Here are some other ways I would use the FluxFlap:
- To follow a Pinterest tutorial or YouTube video on carpentry hands-free. I’m currently building a plank wall and have needed to watch a few videos on cutting away existing baseboards in order to properly fit my planks. The FluxFlap would have come in handy so that I could watch while I work.
- To watch music videos or TED talks while I DIY. I like to be entertained while I work :). The FluxFlap allows you to position your iPad so that you can see the screen while you’re busy building, painting, or decorating.
- Reading or watching something while in the tub. In the winter I unwind at night with a cup of tea and hot bath. I often try to prop my laptop up on the ledge so I can watch something but the angle usually isn’t right. With the FluxFlap this problem would be solved!
On the first day of their Kickstarter campaign, the Flux Flap was able to reach it’s Kickstarter goal towards production. Woohoo! When a product solves a common problem that we all have, then you just know it’s good! FluxFlap is now into their fun “stretch goals” and that’s where all of us can help. Literally, the first thing I thought when I saw the product in the video was looks great but where are all the hip colors?! Well FluxFlap has 13 days left to go on this campaign on their Kickstarter page and they need more backers so that they can introduce more fun color options. You can back them for just $1 which also gets you in on all of the product updates. For example, if they hit $100K, then they are able to create a new design for FluxFlap and they want to hear from us. Just yesterday, they announced their brand new gold & white design! Ooh-la-la, me likey!
In the final push of the Kickstarter campaign, FluxFlap is hoping to hear what women want. We have an opportunity to vote for future designs and be part of something big. And if you’re really feeling inspired, there is an option to design your own custom case with any design of your choosing!
Head on over and check out how the FluxFlap campaign is doing and tell me in the comments how YOU would use the FluxFlap?
Thanks to FluxFlap for sponsoring this post and for creating such a cool product! All opinions are always my own, and I only choose sponsored posts that interest me and that I think might interest you too.
