This post is sponsored by Luvocracy and Style Coalition. I only promote products and things that I support and love and think you might too.
I am constantly on the lookout for new apps and social media sites that will enrich my life. There are just so many out there right now that it is difficult to weed through which ones might actually be of benefit and which ones will just be a time-suck. Luvocracy looks like a very promising site and worthy enough to mention here on Home Stories. Have you heard of it yet? It is basically a Pinterest-type site for people who want to shop or love looking at amazing products. You can save items in your collections and recommend items to others, but instead of having to click through to try and find the source of that item, you can purchase the item right then and there. No more trying to track down where the source in the photo came from, or looking for the best price for that item—Luvocracy does this for you!
I literally just signed up for Luvocracy a few days ago, so I’m still learning all of the ins and outs. It is user-friendly and if you are already an avid Pinterest user, then I think it will come very naturally to you. When you initially log on, you will create an account and Luvocracy will ask you to “TRUST” (think follow here) five different tastemakers whose style you appreciate. I picked the “HOME” category and chose five designers whose style matched my own. You have the option to “TRUST” this tastemaker in “EVERYTHING” or you can select only those topics which appeal to you. You will then be able to view the products that are chosen by those you trust. This is a fantastic way to find unique gifts and items without the leg-work of scouring the internet.
When you see an item you love (LUV), click the heart button to save that item to your collections. Or use the browser button to recommend your own shoppable products. I like to choose items that I love and in the description share why I love them, or I choose items that I’d like to try. Once items are recommended, it is easy to share them with your friends.
Below is a screenshot of my Cool Kitchen Gadgets collection. I own a few of those gadgets and hope to someday own the rest :). If I want to buy any of the items, I can do so right through Luvocracy and they take care of everything for me. I enter my credit card information once, and it is securely stored on Luvocracy (similar to if you have an iTunes account). Luvocracy searches the web to find the most competitive online price for that item, so you don’t have to, and ships it to you. You can research all of the FAQ’s about Luvocracy to learn more about the buying process if you have any questions.
Now here is a little unexpected additional bonus about shopping on Luvocracy! If someone buys an item that you recommend, you earn a small commission in the form of “rewards” for the sale of that item. You can use your reward dollars to buy things on Luvocracy making it a win/win/win all around.
Hop on over to Luvocracy to check it out for yourself and see what you think. I have made a few collections already and would love to have you as a follower. With the holidays right around the corner, I am excited to create more collections to help with gift shopping for my family! Oh yes, on that note, one more cool thing I forgot to mention. If you are collecting gift ideas for a friend, you can make a collection “private” so they won’t be able to see it. Pretty sneaky eh?
For those of you who do everything through your iphones and ipads, be sure to check out the Luvocracy app.
When you join Luvocracy, let me know in the comments so I can “TRUST” you and follow your collections. If you are a reader of mine, then I already know you have good taste *wink* and I’d love to see your product choices. Happy shopping!
What a great idea. I can’t wait to check it out. Thanks for letting us know about it!

Interesting… it’s a nice visual way to see what’s available out there. Am checking it out!
Thanks so much for dropping by Donna! Luvocracy is a great way to discover interesting finds from people whose style you like. I know how badly people want to buy your junk style for themselves, so perhaps finding similar looks to your own would be helpful to your readers.
This sounds really cool! I think I will go check it out 🙂 Thanks for sharing it with us!
Thanks Stacy!
I did it! Just poking around now…’trusted’ you…funny word in a fallen world…but I love it. Thanks for the new hobby! And just in time for Christmas. Now I just have to figure out how it all works and make it lovely. I’m at Samantha Pellegrino. I’d love it if you would ‘trust’ me too. <3 Peace for your day.
Hi Samantha, I have trusted you :). And yes, I felt sort of dorky asking for “trust” instead of a follow. That word isn’t one I use lightly.
