Hey all,
I’m literally about to head out the door, but I wanted to share a few tips with you before I do. If you want an easy peasy way of getting nice large pics on your blog (and you use blogger) do the following:
1. Sign into your blog.
2. Click on the top where it says “Settings”.
3. Scroll down to where it says Global Settings.
4. Underneath Global Settings it will say “Select Post Editor”. Click on “Updated editor”.
5. Enjoy the new features of easily crossing out text, uploading photos and placing them in the order you like, and most importantly making your pics nice and large. Please, please, please make your pics large! I beg you. I read everything on my tiny Mac notebook and I need your pics to be large to really enjoy them. Do it. I’ll be so grateful you did.
More photo tips for free:
If you want to make easy collages of photos, download Picasa . It’s free and very user friendly. I often use collages on my blog to highlight multiple photos. It’s fun to do and adds interest. Here’s one to prove it. Interesting eh?
If you have a crappy clunky awful sub par camera, another program I recommend is Picnik . The basic photo editing options are free, but for around $30/year you can have access to the premium features. I don’t have photoshop, but I’m guessing Picnik is similar. Again, it’s easy to use and can really improve the quality of your photos with just a few tweaks and clicks. Here is a before and after of a picture using Picnik.
Before:
Okay, happy big beautiful photos to you! I’m still hoping Santa brings me a Canon or Nikon so I can take REALLY fantastic pics, but I haven’t been that good of a girl this year :(. Actually, since I’m my own Santa and my stay-at-home-mom pay stinks, I know it’s just a pipe dream at this point. Fortunately for me, I know a few photoshopping tricks…and now you do too!
How about you? Any tricks and tips to share?

O.k. I am on the updated blogger version and my pictures are still small. Is it because I use the background I do? I am asking you, because you are the blogging diva in my eyes! If you have no idea, tell me to move on about my business!!

Hi Beth! Thanks for the tip on updating the blogger editor. I did it as I was reading your post. I too enjoy big photos – I have pretty good eyes but squinting and staring at a computer screen I'm sure aren't helping them. So I definatly appreciate the large photos.
I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas. Enjoy it fully!

Thank you! My graphic arts skills are laughable at best & I so wished my pictures didn't look so dinky when I published a post. Glad to know I can fix it up without being a PhotoShop expert:)

thank you sooo much! I have been wondering how bloggers have been posting collages!
I just switched to the new settings the other day and it is much more user friendly than the old way- the only thing I don't believe I am finding for the new settings is "spell check", LOL!
