I like the wall color and contrast between the dark furniture and white bedding.

I LOVE this next picture. That mirror is gorgeous and the bench perfect. The wall color is pretty fabulous too.

Sigh. Do you know that I could have had exposed beams in my bedroom and for some insane reason didn’t push for it? At the time the beams were absolutely covered in pigeon poop (yes, pigeons had completely taken over the top level of our home before it was gutted) and the thought of avian flu was freaking me out. Granted, they would have been sanded down and restained, but at the time they just looked diseased. This bedroom is gorgeous. I love everything about it. (You’re still stuck on pigeon poop, aren’t you? Sorry about that. Kinda ruins the mood of the photo, huh? That’s what I was scared it would do for me in my bedroom.)

I just came across your page from Fingerprints On The Fridge. I just re-did my room- come over to my blog and see it. The whole thing cost me about $100. 🙂

Oh, I feel your pain…I've had this darned cold for more than two weeks and I think I'm creating my own problems because the second I feel better, I do all the things I longed to do while I felt horrible, then I get too tired and start all over again. Hope you're feeling better soon.

Oh yeah, and I think the piece above the bed is a Cameroon headdress called a "juju". LOVE LOVE LOVE those.

So sorry to hear you're sick, friend. Feel better soon.
I love the inspiration pics, especially the 3rd one and the last one. Beauty!

So sorry you're not feeling well. Funny that you posted bedroom inspiration photos when you're probably lying there in your bed. That's the thing with bedrooms. We want them to be multi-taskers. They need to be comforting when we're sick, restful when we're tired, romantic when we're happy, sexy when we're feeling amorous. Hmmm. Master bedrooms are kind of like moms, aren't they?
Debbie says
I love them all….even the fuzzy things over the bed, it adds texture and interest…..maybe you can make something like feather wreaths???

Beautiful! Those are gorgeous. I love the serene, restful colors. My mom did her house with Restoration Hardware paint colors, and it looks amazing. Perfect for a bedroom. I think I will go back to this when I get a bedroom of my own again. Love it!

Thanks for posting these !! Perfect timing as I'm in the middle of redoing our master bedroom in blues/creams/golds. Of course, it'll never be as gorgeous as these inspirational pics, but they are wonderful eye candy all the same !! Take care, Becca (Adventures in Decorating)

I love each and every picture. I found something I just had to have in each one, yet I barely have room to walk around in my bedroom as it is!
I can't freak out over pigeon poop when I know we had bats in the attic above our master. Now that is yuk!!

Pretty pretty!! I want to do our room too, but first I need to clean it out. (blushing) It's become a dumping ground for all the clothes I can't cram into our closet. :s
We have very big, very heavy, very dark wood furniture. I think we need to go light.
How are you doing today?????

You've got some great inspiration pics, Beth! Can't wait to see how you did yours ~ I'm sure it's gorgeous! I redid our master a few years ago and I have the greyed blue on my walls and it really just made the bedroom so relaxing and serene. I still love it.
Magic Brush says
So are you going blue on the walls? We just did our bedroom in blue. I went thru several colors to get one I liked… blue is tough!

I LOVE your inspiration photos! I am still in the process of trying to figure out what I want in mine, but the ideas are finally coming together! The "fuzzy things above the bed" are Cameroon Juju hats. I love them too. I want a red one for my hallway, but they are very expensive! {$300+} that's why I came up with the idea to try to MAKE one….hmmmm!!!! =D My DIY juices are flowing!
