It is no secret to most of you that I love to decorate. What you may not know is that my favorite time to decorate is this wonderful time of the year that we proclaim as Fall. This is probably for the vain reason that all things harvesty look fabulous in my home. I just happen to be attracted to Autumn’s golds, reds, and greens and have chosen to use them throughout my decor. In fact, Asher has grown so accustomed to having bowls of apples around as accessories that when he was asked to count some at preschool he proclaimed, “Let’s see how many decorations are in this bowl.” I think the teacher just chalked it up to one of his many oddities; I didn’t have a chance to explain that in our home apples are displayed at a greater rate than they are eaten. (Although, I assure you we make good use of the “decorations” at lunch time as well!)
My parents will be visiting this weekend, so there will be plenty more Harvest pictures to come. Until then, here’s a few to tide you over.
