New Year Holiday

The New Year holiday is upon us and whether you are celebrating with just your family or a large gathering, this drink station idea is one you might want to steal! I am a Lowes Creative Blogger and this month’s challenge was to add some New Year’s sparkle to our home. My original idea was to build a drink tray and show you how to make your own. However I am still at my mom’s on vacation, sans saw, hardware, and tools, so I implemented Plan B…buy a drink tray instead! Who knew that Lowes sold such adorable accessories? And better yet, my tray and three white urns were all on clearance.

The tray and urns are all by Allen + Roth, and although I can’t find them available online you might be lucky enough to score some at your local store. The urns are plastic which is awesome if you have small children in the house. You can use them as candy jars, cocoa containers, and cookie storage without worrying about the lids being chipped by little hands. The tray is large, sleek, and modern with silver handles.

I found the adorable New Year’s printables from Catch My Party. I used the drink flags for marshmallows to place in hot cocoa. So cute!

The drink labels can be used on water bottles or any beverage of choice. Below, I removed the frappuccino labels and replaced them with coordinating printables.

Finally, I printed out the New Year’s banner and attached it to a gold curling ribbon for some added bling.

Silver, gold, and white balloons taped to the wall with 3M tape create a bubble inspired backdrop that is festive yet inexpensive! I love the way my drink station turned out and hope I’ve inspired you to create your own fun New Year holiday vignette.

My 13 year old son wants me to revamp the bathroom upstairs so he would have his own bath. Out of the four males in the house he is the ONLY one with any style. I’d love to win the gift card to create a beautiful space for him.

Your beverage station is so clever……who’da thunk it came from Lowes!! Knew there was a reason I love that store… just might be the answer to every question!

I’m into a renovation of just about everything in my new house: paint, tub, tile, window door and baseboard trim throughout. Wish I could say I was in the middle but think I’ve barely scratched the surface. A Lowe’s gift card would be put to good use!

  3. Sherilan Young says

Very Cute ideas! I would use the Lowe’s gift card to change out my old electrical outlets to new ones so anything I plug in stays and doesn’t fall out :)

  4. says

I love this!! I’m amazed that you made balloons look sophisticated and not cheesy!

I’d use a gift card towards getting a new front door!! Ours no longer latches, so the deadbolt must be locked all the time or else the door randomly blows open. The door itself is in pretty rough shape, too. The joys of a 30 year old house!

  5. says

I’d use the Lowe’s card to buy paint! We’re painting all of the walls in our first house. We just finished the kitchen. Next up…the living room, our bedroom, and the laundry room.
