I just love it when designers use cheap supplies to create fabulous things, don’t you? Well, Eddie Ross does it all the time. Seriously, the dollar store should be loving him for all of the free press! Go check him out for some fantastic, doable, and affordable ideas, but before I completely lose you, check me out first :). Today, I am blatantly copying Eddie. I went to the dollar store and bought a boa, a foam wreath, and some little birdies.I wrapped the boa (no gluing) around the wreath form and tied the ends together.
For Christmas, I plan to just change out the ribbon and add these cuties below. So cheap, so cute, and so, so easy! Go make one.

are you sure you didn't mean to write pottery barn instead of the dollar store? this is awesome!!

Beth, this wreath is just way too cool! I love the bird!! – bought some at the dollar store for my tree branch that I "potted." I've been gone a few days so I'm catching up w/you. I think your burlap/scrap table runner turned out great and I love its extra long length. Your re-painted black and red table is adorable. Glad math-enabled hubby could help you.

You and I are on the same wave length. I came up with an idea yesterday for a christmas ornament with a boa or fur. I love the wreath.
Thanks for your sweet comments. We have 1 out of 4 kiddos that is healthy now–yee haw and yes what an ordeal.

Very cute, but the bird kinda creeps me out. To each his own, I guess.

That is really nice! I had no idea the dollar store carried feather boa's and wreath forms. I need to do a whole walk through of mine. Great idea to change out the ribbon with the seasons and the birds, too.
