Want to set up a quick holiday drink station that is easy, affordable, and fuss-free? Then you’re in the right place! Today I’m sharing three super simple, yet delicious, holiday cocktail recipes that taste just as good with or without alcohol—pleasing all palates. I’m also sharing tips for shopping, creating, and styling your drink station. These tips will help you spend less time planning, shopping and in the kitchen…and more time celebrating together!
How to Create an Affordable Holiday Drink Station
Step 1: Shop for your ingredients online using the Walmart app!
I do all of our grocery shopping using the Walmart app with the curbside pickup and delivery option. The Walmart app is very easy to use and saves me so much time! I simply choose an available pickup or delivery time, and then order the items I need. When my groceries are ready for pickup, I receive a text letting me know. I pull up in the curbside pickup area where a friendly associate loads my groceries into the car for me. I know about any out of stock items or changes to my order beforehand because they email me, and then discuss them again at pickup. My grocery shopping is done and I haven’t even left my car.

- Fireball Cinnamon Holiday Nog
- Fireball Candies
- Ocean Spray Cran Pomegranate Juice
- Barefoot Bubbly Champagne
- Pomegranate
- Simple Syrup
- Silver Sanding Sugar
- Organic Fresh Rosemary
- Coca Cola
- Starburst Flavored Candy Canes
Step 2: Choose your drink station location!
Bar carts, buffets, kitchen bars, butler pantries, and kitchen tables are all fabulous potential locations for your holiday drink station. Choose a location that is convenient for your guests. For my drink station, I removed the chairs from our breakfast room and placed a cable knit blanket over the round table. Guests can easily walk around all sides of the table, mingle, and pour drinks with ease. Instead of a traditional tablecloth, I used a lightweight, machine washable cable knit blanket to add more cozy texture to the table!
Step 3: Prep your cocktails ahead of time!
I highly recommend having a few cocktails ready to go when your guests arrive. I like to choose simple ingredient cocktails that can be enjoyed with or without alcohol.
Cranberry Pomegranate Champagne Cocktail Recipe
Rim Garnish: Place 2 tablespoons of Cran Pom juice and 1/2 t of simple syrup in a small saucer. In another saucer, add dry sanding sugar. Roll the rim of the champagne glass in the juice and then immediately in the sanding sugar.
Drink Recipe: Place 1 teaspoon pomegranate seeds in the bottom of Champagne glass.
Add 1 teaspoon of simple syrup and 1.5 ounces (shot glass) of chilled Cran Pomegranate juice.
Top with cold Champagne.
Garnish with a Starburst fruit-flavored candy cane if desired!
Fireball Eggnog Martini Recipe
This crowd pleasing cocktail is quick and easy to make and tastes delicious with or without alcohol! I used Fireball eggnog with a shot of dark rum, but feel free to use the eggnog of your choice. You could even add a shot of cinnamon schnapps for an extra kick. Garnish with a sprig of fresh rosemary and a fireball candy at the bottom of each glass.
I love this cocktail for it’s simplicity. The added cinnamon spice from the Fireball Eggnog is delightful and the candy garnish makes it so fun!
Tip: Style your drinks on a serving tray for easy service and cleanup. I used the Better Homes & Gardens Acacia Wood Tray.
Rum & Coke
This classic drink is given a fun update through presentation! Wash and dry the outside of each chilled, glass Coke bottle and place inside a tall glass filled 1/3 of the way with ice.
Instead of a lime wedge, garnish with a lime or cherry flavored candy cane! Guests can pour their own coke and add rum, or opt to drink it in bottle using the glass as their own personal ice bucket.
Tip: Use a pretty decanter to serve alcohol separately. This one from Walmart is beautiful and affordable priced at under $10! I served it on the Better Homes & Gardens white cake stand.
