These runner rugs are chic, soft, cozy, affordable, and most importantly WASHABLE! Help me decide which one I should keep for our mudroom.
Between the muddy boots, backpacks, pets, and constant flow of dirty laundry, our mudroom/laundry room is hands down the most chaotic room in the house. I currently have it immaculately cleaned and staged for this blog post, but trust me when I tell you it’s a challenging room to keep tidy. I’m a firm believer that our dwelling spaces should be made for living and not just for staging, so this space is doing a fantastic job at fulfilling its purpose!
When we first moved in, I gave this room a quick mudroom makeover and bought a runner for in front of the mudroom bench. My family and pets have not been kind to that poor runner and it was due time for an upgrade! I’ve been considering a machine washable runner for quite some time but was deterred by the prices. I was ecstatic to learn that Walmart now offers a myriad of washable rug options online! Here is a round-up of some of the washable runners I was considering. You can shop the items pictured by clicking on the picture.
I had difficulty deciding which rug would look best in my space, so I ordered three different runners on Walmart.com and had them shipped directly to my home. Walmart has timely shipping and a great 90 day return policy! I love the ease and convenience of shopping at Walmart Home. I purchased all three colors of the Everwash Callaghan Esther Bohemian Medallion Runner.
Washable Runner Rug Options
Something to note! The colors of the rugs I received did NOT exactly match the photos pictured online. I don’t think it’s an issue of photo editing either, and it’s something I have contacted the company about and am waiting to hear a reply. I was still pleased with the rug options I ordered and received, but I do wish the colors matched the rugs pictured as those go better with my overall color scheme.
I’d love to hear your thoughts on the selections below! Which one do you like the best for my mudroom?
This runner is a classic navy and gray. The online pictures show it to be more gray than blue but the one I received is very blue.
2. Everwash Callaghan Esther Bohemian Medallion Runner in Rust and Brown.
This rug is much more muted online than in person and the colors are different. The rust reads much more pink and there is not much brown in the rug. The blues are more vibrant.
3. Everwash Callaghan Esther Bohemian Medallion Runner in Rust and Navy.
This rug online is pictured as a muted rust and blue, and the one I received is a more vibrant red and navy. I really like this one and think it’s perfect for fall and a nice pop of color.
