When I recently made our summer list with my boys, one of the things they both want to do is go camping. I am no foreigner to camping. I grew up camping with my parents and have been on numerous camping trips as an adult. I like to brag about the summer I worked as a backpack counselor roughing it in a tent all throughout the Rocky Mountains! I love to be outdoors. But seriously now, who likes to be uncomfortable? Enter glamping or glamourous camping! When Hubs and I went to Indonesia (pre-kiddos), we stayed in Bali at the most amazing resort that could count as glamping. It was heavenly. Here are some dreamy glamping photos for your eye-candy-fix-of-the-day.

Which one is your favorite? Any plans to go camping or glamping this summer? I think it is harder to do anything glamourous with children along for the trip! Sigh. A girl can dream of romance though. No harm in dreaming, right? Double sigh.

I'd do in the fall and summer if the hard wood floor cabana by the sea came with room service and a wet bar!

I love the tepee one! Something about it. Mabye I'll have to build one in my yard although it won't be nearly so glamorous.
We just got back from out 10 day camping trip. We drove through Kentucky and set up and took down the tent at least 5 times and some of those in the pouring rain. It was the best!

The whole "glamping" thing always makes me think of Meryl Streep and Robert Redford's glorious set-up on the savannah in Out of Africa. Fine china, phonograph, Robert Redford washing your hair in a porcelain wash-basin. It doesn't get more glam than that.
It's SO not the way we camp in my family, but a girl can dream, right? 🙂

I LOVE the one with the bathtub!! My kind of thing… my grandparents who had a farm.. they didn't have any plumbing in their house. I took my baths outside when I was a child. They didn't have indoor plumbing til I was about 9 years old. Those outdoor baths were my most fondest memories.
Other photos are just simply stunning as well…
Thanks for sharing! 🙂

I haven't camped since I was a kid. I need mousse and mascara. I'm shallow like that.

The Girl Scouts ruined me for camping. I hate it with a passion. I've also listened to my mom's story about her roommate getting eaten by a Grizzly bear when they worked at Glacier National Park one summer in the 1970s. I just can't do it. Also, I like air conditioning.

Love this word~glamping. It's the only way to go. Somehow, I never look very glamorous camping, but I love it!!
I adore the picture that includes the tub!! It has everything I need!

Number three looks so breezy and romantic! I am not a camper or glamper though I think I am going to have to change my ways as Jemma wants to camp in the backyard! I got my husband a tent and sleeping bag for his birthday and Jemma got a sleeping bag, but they didn't have the right color for me at the store! Oh wait, I told them the right size! Better keep my story straight!!! I have a feeling I will be in the backyard at some point…

I love the first picture the best 🙂 We ARE going camping this summer for the first time with our two boys (3 and 5) to Yosemite, and it will take us 6 hours to get there. I'm trying not to panic. We need SO much stuff, especially to make it comfortable, and so little room in our car. Not sure how that's going to work out yet…

I haven't been camping in years! We went a lot when we were kids; that's a getaway that was affordable for my parents. Now, I'd go for the glamping, but I'd want a proper bathroom facility as well! Those are my terms and I'm sticking with them. : )

Great pictures! Thank you for sharing them with us…a few new sites I can't wait to visit!
We camp with the neighborhood in the summer, in tents, with the kids! Although my favorite was going in my parents air conditioned camper 🙂
Hope your having a great week!

We love to camp and do so at least two or three times each summer. We camp each year at a site where the owners place a fridge on you site for the week, and since there is electricity I dress things up with white mini lights, and always a mason jar filled with flowers on the picnic table! Oh , and my husband brings the cappuccino maker and a blender! Seriously! That is the extent of our glamping!
But I do have a friend who goes "shamping"! She parks her camper at a campsite near an outlet mall and she and her girlfriends camp and shop for a weekend without kids.
My favorite glamping photo is hard to choose, but I think it is either myturtleneck or garden shed hall of fame.
Thanks for the fun post!

ooh, you are one brave mama. Let's hope when I have kids, they aren't into camping – at least with me.
if a hotel/motel room door opens to the outdoors instead of a hallway – that's camping for me. hmm, but now a villa or a bungalow – that's glamping 🙂

I just showed the one with the bathtub outside and said to my husband I want that at our little cabin upstate. And I use the term cabin loosely as there is NO bathroom. Yup, you guessed it an outhouse.
Anywho, I want that whole look for up there. Love it, love it, love it!

As beautiful as they are, I'm afraid I just wouldn't make a good glamper quite in this way. This is my version glamping.
Just click on the first pic to enlarge it. I use to decorate my campsites too! 🙂

While I love the romance of all that outdoor stuff, I love to wake up to no sun or bugs hitting my face and a decent bed for me achin' back. It's an age thing I think…

No plans to camp. This summer or any upcoming. My kid is allergic to mosquitoes. Welts up like a mofo. We have a hard enough time just hanging in the yard!
Love Glamping, though. Perfect word!
