Take 2: I chose different papers and Courtney plugged them in for me. This time I didn’t like how the “The Stories” tag blended in with the green paper, and I wanted more contrast.
Take 3: Courtney gave me this cute white tag for more contrast. Hmmmm, yeah, I loved the stitching on the tag, but didn’t like the white.
Take 4: Courtney gave me green, stitching, and a brown flower. Love it! Then from a distance my husband and I noticed that my header looked like something on wheels. Great. My header looks like a train car. It was driving me crazy. Also, I had flowers for my navigational bar, and I decided I didn’t like those either.
Take 5: Courtney got rid of the train-car-look for me. Hmmm…now I don’t like how big it is, and I don’t like the brown flower in the corner of my tag. I also thought the sidebar buttons looked too cutesy.
Take 6: Courtney is working on trying, trying, TRYING to please this girl.
Take 7: Yes, yes, yes!!! This is it! Oh Courtney, I love it!
So…anyone want to work with me? No??? Well, I wouldn’t either. If Courtney can please this diva, I guarantee she can please you. Check her out when you get the chance. And Courtney, you are awesome! Thank you for your perseverance, patience, and hard work in giving me a beautiful blog that I love.
One Fine Blog Design Makeover
I recently won a free blog makeover from Courtney at One Fine Blog Design. With her permission, I wanted to brag about her mad design skills and her equally impressive people skills. This may come as a great surprise to some of you, but I am not the easiest person to please and I can be a bit, shall we say, challenging to work with. No, really? You? (Hey, I heard that!) I am a girl who knows exactly what she wants when she sees it, but sometimes I need to see all options before knowing exactly what I want :). Courtney had the patience of Job! She entertained all of my opinions and tweaked each element until I was thoroughly satisfied.
Think I’m exaggerating about my hard-to-please nature? Well, let’s take a little picture walk through this process and I’ll allow you to be the judge.
Take 1: I picked an online digital scrapbook package that I liked from Courtney’s list of designers and let her know my general vision. She did exactly what I asked, but I wasn’t liking my paper choices.
