Sharing how to organize spice cabinets using simple products from Amazon!
I’m very grateful for my kitchen, but there are several things I would change if I had unlimited resources! The first thing I would do is add a full walk-in pantry and some pull 0ut spice cabinets. These two areas of my kitchen have been the most difficult to organize. I currently use the two small cabinets on either side of the stove for baking supplies and the larger cabinet to the right for all of my spices and oils. When we first moved in, I had anticipated adding a vertical pull-out spice cabinet so didn’t bother organizing my spices appropriately. I still may add the cabinet but enough was enough! It was time to find a better system in the interim.
Amazon Spice Organizers
I decided to buy just a few products from Amazon to help contain the mess and keep things semi-cute. I bought the following:
Spice Cabinet Before
Below is a “before” picture of the messy cabinet. You can’t even see the smaller spices. Needless to say this chaotic method simply wasn’t working for us any longer! I began by removing everything from the cabinet and tossing anything we didn’t need or was expired.
Spice Cabinet After
And here is the much improved AFTER! I transferred all of our mismatched spices into these cute spice jars from Amazon and then placed sticker labels on the front of the jars. You can also place the stickers on the lid tops if that works better with your system.
I love this ready-to-go spice system! You just transfer your current spices into jars and place the appropriate label on the jar lid or bottle. Having all of my spices in uniform jars makes them so much easier to organize!
The Tiered Bamboo Expandable Spice Rack pulls out to expand as needed and is tiered to more easily spot your spices. The lucite plastic bins are perfect for containing extra condiments, spice packets, and miscellaneous items. I used my label gun
on my bins to keep everything organized long-term.
I also tackled organizing our cabinet pantry which is a constant challenge to keep organized! Not wanting to spend a bunch on extra containers, I used baskets and containers I had on hand and labeled them with my label gun. It’s not the prettiest, but it is functional and everyone in the family knows where to locate everything!
I hope this gives you some ideas on how to make the best of what you have to work with! For other sources for my kitchen, please see everything linked below.
