We finally had ONE warm day here yesterday, and I celebrated with dinner on the roof deck! I thought I’d share a fresh and quick idea for your spring and summer flower arrangements…an asparagus vase!
1. Arrange your flowers in a mason jar.
2. Line up your asparagus at the flowering end.
3. Cut evenly to the size of your jar.
4. Place a rubber band around your jar and just slip in the asparagus one at a time around the jar perimeter.
5. Cover up the rubber band with a pretty grosgrain ribbon and enjoy!

Very cute. But I have to agree with the earlier poster-I don't think I could have not steamed the asparagus right on the spot.

I took mine off after we ate dinner and put them in vase in the fridge. I plan to eat all of them! Our grocery store was having a buy one get one special on asparagus this week :).

EEK…I love the look of it….but are you able to use the asparagus afterward? It's kind of pricey where I live, and look at it as sort of a treat….so the only way I could do it without guilt, is to be able to quickly roast/steam it after. Thoughts?

How stinkin' cute is that?! I love it. Tuesday was nice day here in NJ – well, at least we managed to squeeze in some sunshine in between all the rain drops and wind!
