Featuring Grosgrain Kathleen

 

I am part of a mom’s group at my church which meets twice a month and I love it!  (For those of you familiar with MOPS, it’s a lot like that minus the MOPS name.  We call it MOMents.)  My table of ladies is stellar.  The thing I love the most about MOMents is that it gives me an opportunity sans kiddos to meet other moms and share my struggles, my joys, my faith, and my passions.   So imagine my thrill when I met a fellow blogger that shares similar passions!  Her name is Kathleen and some of you may already know her from her blog Grosgrain.  Ladies, this girl is A-mazing!  Her photography is gorgeous, her vintage-chic style is to die for, and her site is all eye candy.    

Kathleen is best known for doing to thrift store clothes what many of us do to thrift store home goods.  Check out these Before and Afters. And yes, that is her gorgeous-self modeling her redesigned, upcycled dresses.  Who in the world knew a moo-moo could look so fabulous?    

Kathleen also sews her own beautiful clothes from scratch, gives fantastic tutorials, and has giveaways galore.  In fact, most of the projects she features she gives away.  I think she’s insane for doing it, but who doesn’t love a good giveaway? As if her giveaways weren’t enough, she also hosts plenty of guest giveaways as well. 

Oh my goodness, will you look at these two costumes below?!  Those are her beautiful daughters modeling her hand-made Alice in Wonderland costumes.  AND CAN YOU BELIEVE SHE IS GIVING THEM AWAY?  If you were to buy that Queen of Hearts costume alone it would cost you a few hundred dollars.  You have to see these on her site to believe them.  I so wish I had little girls, so I could enter this giveaway. But wait, I just remembered I have two little nieces who would look precious in these costumes!  So Kathleen, consider me entered.
