Valentine’s Day Mantel Inspiration & Party Announcement

Valentine’s Day is just a few weeks away and I thought it would be fun to host a Valentine’s Day Mantel Linky on Monday, January 24th!  Uh…didn’t we just decorate our mantels for winter?  Yes, we did.  But let’s change things up, add some hearts, throw some pink up there and get festive!  I know, I know, you’re headed to Blissdom next week and are trying to figure out how you’re going to fit all those cute outfits, boots, and technology into one carry on.   But I challenge you to find a half hour this weekend and get that baby decorated!

In order to get you in the mood (cue Barry White music.  Although as a side note that music does nothing for me; I’m more of a DMB circa 90′s Crash album kinda girl. Sigh. LOVE the song Say Goodbye.  You can click here for the back story on that one.  But I seriously digress.  What were we talking about again?  Oh yes mantels!), I’ve compiled some inspiration pics from last year’s V-day mantel party!

Jen’s mantel from 2010.  Perfection.

Jessica Leigh’s mantel was one of my favs from last year.

Kim’s Hugs and Kisses Hutch.

Tammy’s mantel.
Justa’s mantel.
Me.  Horrible photography and all.  But I did love my Valentine’s tree. It was cute.
Okay peeps, get those Valentine’s mantels ready for this coming Monday!  (Linky will be up Sunday night for those over-achievers amongst you. ;)

I love this idea… Granted I don't have a mantel, however the whole idea of decorating for Valentines Day. Since the Hubs' and I don't have a sitter this year to go out on a ::gasp:: date… it will be fun to make a nice meal, have some Valentines Day inspiration in the form of a little decor and overall just have a romantic meal together :)

I guess I better get crackin' at my Valentine's mantel. I keep getting ideas, but I forget to write them down, so now I have no idea what I'll do this year. I guess we will find out on Monday. See you then! And thanks for spotlighting my last years hutch.

What? you have me all distracted with DMB now ;) I love them too!

Anyhoo… a Valentine's mantel huh? Hmmm… I'll have to think on that one. My living room is very greens, blues & browns and I'm not the pink/purple/red kinda gal. I'll ponder this and who knows, maybe I WILL come up with something!

    Cheers!

What I'd like to know is how do they get such fabulous lighting in their house? My mantel is on the same side as the living room windows so the lighting sucks..ugh!

Thanks again for featuring my Vday mantle. I know you have mentioned decorating other spaces, just like you would your mantle… so I'm going to give that a try this year. :)
