Stenciled Foyer

A few weeks ago, I gave you a sneak peek of my foyer and a mini-tutorial on how to use Royal Design Studio Stencils. The foyer is all painted, caulked, and primped and ready for some paparazzi!

Unfortunately for the foyer, the paparazzi doesn’t know how to use her camera so all the pictures are a bit dark. Note to paparazzi: Take a photography class.

I bought the cute cottage bird hooks from my sponsor Timeless Settings. They also come in ORB and baby leaf green.

I LOVE them!

Here is your view as you enter the front door. I had planned to have cheap Target mirrors cut to size and edged with molding (a-la-Layla) on those coat closet doors, but it was going to cost around $40 and another day. I wasn’t feeling it right now but it’s on the to-do list.

Here is a reminder of what this room sort-of looked like before:

And here is the after!

And here is the breakdown of where everything is from:

And here is what you see when you close that big wood door (that still needs refinishing). Our mudroom.

The end.

Somehow I missed this! So glad it showed up on the top of my Facebook wall today, because it’s FABULOUS! What a difference some stenciling and board and batten makes, and then all of the finishing touches are the icing on the cake. I saw a garden stool like that at Marshall’s several months ago, and talked myself out of buying it. Now I could kick myself. I’ve looked every time I’m in there since, and they have never had more. Boo!! And of course, the price is at least double everywhere else I look. Oh well. Glad you grabbed it, because it looks great in your entryway.

Fantastic! Luv it! Beth, could you post a close up of how you tapered the boards at the bottom of the wall? Or at least I think you did. I used 1 by 6 for my floor molding with a flat edge on top and the vertical boards strait on bottom, what a dust collection spot! I don’t know what I was thinking.
