Welcome to my Christmas Home Tour! I am participating in Jennifer Rizzo’s Holiday Housewalk this year and I’m stop number 7 on the tour. If you are stopping by from The Handmade Home, welcome!
If you are just popping in, you won’t want to miss the six homes before mine so be sure to check them out once you take a look at my home! I’d love some help promoting the tour, so please feel free to pin any of the pictures that catch your eye. There will be a “Pin it” button in the top right corner as you hover over each picture.
Welcome to my city home! We will begin the tour on my front porch. You can view the entire Christmas front porch and exterior of my home in my Christmas Porch Tour post.
I really wanted to create something different for the front door, so this year a Santa Bag Wreath greets you as you arrive. You can click on the link (in blue) to be taken to the tutorial on how to make your own.
Our mudroom is typically dripping with book bags, winter coats, and too many shoes to count. I spruced it up for the occasion and even dusted off my vintage sled. I love the charm it adds to this nook!
My dining room is overflowing with easy DIY projects. Be sure to check out how I made the No-Paint Striped Curtains and Faux Deer Head.
I’ll be back later this week to talk more about the fun details of my candy cane tablescape!
My DIY Pallet Sign received a Christmas makeover with the help of some letters cut with my Silhouette Cameo.
I kept out Christmas tree very simple this year in shades of red and white. The Faux Capiz Shell Garland that I made several years ago is still going strong! I love the shimmer it adds to the tree.
Our row home is four levels of very tall and narrow rooms. As you can see, we have an extremely open concept floor plan on our first floor.
I used grosgrain ribbon in all of my Christmas decorating this year. Wrapping ribbon around your lamp shade and securing with double-sided tape is a great non-permanent way of changing the look of your decor. DIY Chalkboard Ornaments, DIY Wooden Spools, and some dollar store bells create a cute vignette on the end table.
I recently painted my mantel white! Post coming soon on how I did it.
My Christmas kitchen turned out pretty cute this year. I scored some red houndstooth ribbon on clearance at Joann and used it for all of the wreaths and on the refrigerator.
Below are my sweet boys putting together some Christmas goodies.
I have a few more rooms to show you in my home, but I’m going to save them for another post! Pippin and Eowyn wanted to see you off and thank you for dropping by our home. I’ll be back later this week with more details about the tour.
Your next stop on the tour is the talented Kelly from Eclectically Vintage! Enjoy!

Your home is a showcase. is there a link to your updated paint colors? I can remember first finding your blog at Christmas years ago and your brick walls and your bedroom all decorated with white lights, remember you had them strung around your bed? Look how your colors have changed 🙂
Beth says
Ha! Yes, I remember that. That was eons ago! I don’t think I ever updated my house colors. I’ll have to do a post soon with all the new colors. 🙂

Sharon in Chicago says
Check HGs this year — I was shocked to see it again and broke down and got some pieces I didn’t get LY. Or we can get together some state in the middle and both bring our pieces to the party!
Beth says
Ha! LOVE that idea :). A little side-road tea party perhaps?
Sharon in Chicago says
Beth — I’m torn between my fav being the ribbon on the fridge and all the cardinals on the table! I’ve got other pieces that match the creamer and sugar (yay, HG/TJM/M) and love using them into January.
Beth says
Oh fun! I love that entire collection but only bought the creamer and sugar last year. Wish I had the set. Thanks for visiting me Sharon!

I love your home tour! My favorite so far. Red is my favorite color, and the way it pops in your home makes me smile. Also, I am obsessed with your turquoise screen door in the kitchen. Does that lead to the basement? I am inspired to create one of my own. Was the door salvaged, or purchased new? Love it!
Beth says
Thanks so much Stephanie! You can read about the screen door here if you’d like: http://www.homestoriesatoz.com/decorating/white-painted-kitchen-island-pantry-screen-door-100-lowes-giftcard-giveaway.html It leads to our pantry.

Very pretty Beth. I guess I better get going on my home here in the city and prepare it for the holidays. I’m leaving though for my other home in the country…which is on the other side of the world in England; where I get to do this all over again. 🙂 Your puppies are so cute in that photo.
Beth says
Oh wow Veronica, I’m not sure I’d want to decorate twice :). But how fun to have a home in England! Enjoy!
