Well a Merry WHITE Christmas to us! We received snow this weekend in South Carolina and it was absolutely magical! It’s our first Christmas in our new home, and what a treat to experience something so rare the first year we are here. Some of my Pennsylvanian friends were even jealous that we received so much snow!
Knowing this is probably a once in a lifetime event down here, I grabbed my new camera and headed outside to capture the beauty of our property in the snow! You can see closeups or our pretty Christmas porch here and find all of the product sources I used in our porch decor. I love how the classic red and green decor pops against the blanket of white!
Our neighbor’s beautiful horse, Blaze, looked so magical in the snow that I couldn’t resist using him as my model! I thought you might enjoy seeing him too!
It started snowing on Friday afternoon and continued through the night and into Saturday morning. I prepped my family for a Christmas photoshoot, set up my tripod, and captured a bunch of cute pictures of us in the snow. Unfortunately, I somehow managed to damage my camera’s SD card upon insertion into my computer and all of the images were lost! I was heartbroken. My 13 year old offered to take a few shots of me and my husband with my iPhone, but our family shots were lost. I plan on reshooting soon but am so sad that I missed the chance of capturing all of us playing together in the South Carolinian snow!

Consider taking your card to a computer shop to see if the pictures can be recovered. It may be possible, worth asking anyway.
Thank you! It was definitely disappointing to lose the pictures. I appreciate the suggestion.
What amazing photography! The snow – horse – OMG! they take my breath away.
Thanks Karen! I love the way the photos turned out of Blaze. He’s a handsome guy. 🙂
pretty pictures beth. what kind of camea did you end up getting.
Thanks! Last spring I bought a Nikon D810 and have been slowly transitioning over to using it full-time this fall. It was a steep learning curve for me from my D5300.
