Create a gorgeous outdoor tablescape this fall with these outdoor entertaining tips!
One of the things I love about early fall in South Carolina is that it’s really just summer with pumpkins until late October, but that definitely doesn’t stop me from getting my fall on! I created this dreamy outdoor tablescape and thought it would be fun to share some quick table styling tips with you.
Outdoor Table Styling Tip 1: Choose your color palette and assess what decor you may need.
Find table decor that fits your style and design plan by first shopping the house and then assessing what items you might need to purchase for your table. I always like to keep my tablescape color palettes clean and simple! For this table, I chose to go with all neutral decor with touches of galvanized metal. My beautiful sunflower arrangement adds a fun pop of color to the table!
2. If the weather is welcoming, bring indoor dining chairs outside for your event.
Indoor dining chairs add an element of unexpected drama and glam to your outdoor table! I love adding some comfy interior elements to my outdoor gatherings. They elevate your event and instantly make it feel special.
3. Keep neutrals from looking bland by adding a mixture of textures.
When working with a lot of neutrals, texture is key! Layer your items like you would a cozy fall outfit.
I like to use fabric napkins as decor and often drape them under the plates for a casually elegant look.
4. Use place card holders for more than just place cards!
Place card holders look cute on the table and can hold the evening’s menu, a special note or quote, a seed packet, dried flower arrangement, or other small table gift for your guests.
5. Whether you are dining indoors or al fresco, lighting sets the mood and tone for your gathering.
Candles and twinkle lights are a great way to add a touch of romance and intimacy to the table. Be sure to choose unscented or LED candles for the comfort of your guests!
It’s all gorgeous, Beth! I admire your attention to detail and getting these shots so perfectly. It’s a stunning setting!
