On Sundays I try to rest, relax, and recharge. Sometimes work obligations sneak into the mix, but on most Sundays after church you will find me in here! I retreat to our bedroom suite and nap, read, binge on Netflix, paint my nails, put on a face mask, light a candle and just generally escape for a bit! I’m an introvert and setting aside a bit of “me time” each week helps keep me vibrant and happy.

When I spend a lot of time in one room I inevitably end up wanting to make small changes to the space—it’s just how I’m wired. 😂 Now, I know you’ve heard me say it here on the blog and in social media 100’s of time before, but I’m going to say it again. Better Homes & Gardens at Walmart offers so many cute and affordable options for decorating! When the temperatures begin to drop, I like to switch my bedding to something cozier. I’ve had the comfy floral bedding for years and years but wanted to update the look. I added the following items to the bed:

Most of the sheets in my home are from Better Homes & Gardens at Walmart, and I can highly recommend them to you! They fit the mattresses well, wash up beautifully, and are comfortable to sleep on. I usually buy them in white, but this neutral diamond print is a fun change for fall. They offer 300 count sheets in several different colors and patterns. I also like the white 400 thread count sheets for everyday!
Affordable Bedding Accessories: Toss Pillows & Throws
Throws and toss pillows are at the top of my list of items that complete a space! If you are on a very tight budget, simply changing out your toss pillows and adding a new throw can transform your room. Layered neutral textiles add so much great texture for fall. I love this nubby Aztec Cream Decorative Pillow and the texture it adds to the bed. You can’t beat the price at only $16.87!
In the picture below you can really see the gorgeous patterns and textures on all of the bedding. The white chenille duvet comes with the two shams and is just gorgeous.

Next to our bed, I used two Better Homes & Gardens Modern Farmhouse Storage Cabinets to store extra clothing. You can check out in this post how I reversed the direction on one of the door handles to make the cabinet look like one large cabinet. The planters and baskets are also from BHG. Since our master bedroom closet is rather small, these cabinets have been a wonderful storage addition!
I love having fresh flowers in the house and frequently pick up a bouquet of hydrangeas at the grocery store. They usually last at least three weeks and look so beautiful on the nightstand! See how I keep my hydrangeas looking fresh in my hydrangea hack post.
