Longer days and warmer temps signal the beginning of spring and the start of more quality time with friends and family spent outdoors! I love to relax, unwind, entertain, and dine outdoors, so it’s no surprise that my outdoor spaces remain my favorite “rooms” at my house. Almost all of my outdoor furniture in my firepit, gazebo, front porch, and back patio were purchased at Walmart!
Walmart has everything you need to create a beautiful outdoor oasis for less. I love the convenience of ordering online and having large items shipped hassle-free directly to my door. In fact, I just purchased an outdoor rug, two egg chairs, and fringed hammock and had them arrive within days of ordering! And no need to worry about shipping costs because Walmart offers free and quick shipping on most orders over $35, exclusions apply.
Curated California-Style Recommendations for Walmart’s Outdoor Furniture
I am so impressed with the gorgeous and new outdoor furniture selections currently available on Walmart.com! I have rounded up my absolute favorite outdoor furniture items to conveniently shop in one spot. To shop my recommendations, simply click the picture below, and then click on the individual product picture thumbnails to shop items of interest. Note that I included several pieces from the gorgeous and delicate Willow Sage collection by Better Homes & Gardens. This collection is new this year and look very similar to a current high-end designer line for a fraction of the price. I predict these pieces will sell out! **Speaking from much experience, if you see something you love don’t wait. Hot ticket items tend to sell out quickly each spring!
If you’re in the market for an outdoor sectional, I recommend taking a look at the Better Homes & Gardens Brookbury set pictured bottom right. The set is similar to my current Better Homes & Gardens Davenport sectional, but the Brookbury set includes a raised coffee table and two ottomans—making it perfect for both dining and entertaining!
If you prefer outdoor sofas to sectionals, check out the Davenport sofa lounger. It is part of the updated Davenport collection and has great reviews. I also love the cozy look of the River Oaks Set pictured bottom left. The nesting coffee tables in this set are perfect for serving drinks and charcuterie!

This year I splurged on two statement piece patio items! I’ve had my eye on these adorable egg chairs for several years now and decided to just go ahead and get them. I love them so much that I honestly may move them to my bedroom. But for now everyone in the family, including my Pomeranian Pippin, is enjoying curling up in them! These chairs come with a three year limited warranty, were easy to assemble, and are comfy to sit in. I plan on spraying them with Scotchguard Fabric Water Shield to further protect the beautiful white cushions from dirt and debris.
I styled the egg chairs with these adorable and very affordable outdoor cream tassel pillows and gray fringe throw. The brown outdoor rug is by Walmart’s brand Mainstays is a steal at only $89 for the large 6’6″x9’6″ size.
My farmhouse table and metal chairs were also purchased at Walmart; however, the exact table and bench are no longer available. Click here for a similar outdoor farmhouse table if interested. You can purchase my outdoor metal dining chairs here. They clean up easily, are stackable, lightweight, and don’t get too hot in the sunshine under the pergola.
The fringe hammock is priced under $30 and is so relaxing to swing in! It comes in a cute bag with hardware for attaching to posts or trees, but I opted instead to hang it from our pergola.
We added the white steel pergola to our patio last summer, and I love home much character and charm it adds to the space! The Better Homes & Gardens Globe String Lights complete the ambiance and look dreamy lit up at night.
I also purchase most of my outdoor plants and flowers from Walmart’s nursery! The lavender and Queen Kimberly ferns are a patio staple. I also purchased my star jasmine from Walmart.com. It smells amazing come May!
The Kimberly Queen ferns can be found in-store at Walmart and unlike most ferns, these do great in direct sunlight. If you have partial shade and mostly sun, they will do just fine!
Comfort and Quality of Outdoor Furniture & Decor
Just a quick note on my experience with the quality of Walmart brand outdoor furniture and decor items. I have owned my Better Homes & Gardens Davenport Sectional for four years now, and it’s still in great shape! I do tuck away all of my outdoor cushions during inclement weather and over the winter; however, I don’t do much of anything to care for the furniture pieces themselves. The furniture frames, outdoor table, and metal chairs have stayed outside for years with minimal wear and tear. Most of the Better Homes & Gardens items come with a limited warranty.
Outdoor rugs are the one item I’ve had difficulty maintaining year to year. My patio receives a lot of rain and receives about 4-5 hours of direct sun. Any rug placed beneath furniture mildews and rots over time. I think this has more to do with our humidity, climate, and patio placement rather than the quality of Walmart’s outdoor rugs; however, I thought it was worth mentioning! If your deck or patio is in the shade, an outdoor rug left in the rain may not wear well over time.
