I have been working hard all weekend to get our first floor redecorated and this week I will finally be able to show you some of the progress I’ve made! I thought it would be fun to show how this one little bay window on our main level has progressed over the last 3 1/2 years.
When we first moved into our home in December 2007….
In May of 2009, I was still trying to make the red and yellow work for me and made some mistreatments for the window and purchased the table and chairs….
And here we are in February 2011! The board and batten is finished and all caulked! The blinds are finally hung and curtains will be added soon.
It looks like this nook could still use a round rug to soften things up. If you have a suggestion for one, please let me know!
And of course I couldn’t show off my shades and caulk without staging the table for you.
My vintage scale was a Craigslist find and remains one of my favorite props. The sweet teapot came from HomeGoods.
So what do you think so far? So far, I am loving it and cannot WAIT until this level is completely done and ready for the full tour. Next up, I’ll show you what I’ve done in the dining room. It’s a subtle yet fabulous improvement!
