I love all the shutters in this neighborhood!

This home’s decor was my second favorite of all the homes we toured.

Pretend all those people aren’t standing around the island.  This kitchen with green cabinets was gorgeous!

I loved all the built-ins and farmhouse feel.
And of course I was loving the farmhouse sink!
The dining room could have been staged better, and I wasn’t crazy about the choice of light fixtures in this home, but the board and batten is lovely.

The master bedroom.

 Master bath.

Isn’t the tub heavenly?!

This is a sitting room at the top of the stairs.

Guest bedroom.  The furniture in here was shabby-beachy-chic.

Loved the glass float on the mirror and the “net like” feel of the bed throw.  Also loving the glass lamp on the nightstand.

This room was a fun little girl’s bedroom. Would have loved it even more with white distressed furniture.

The Nicole Kathleen House
I was excited to tour this home because the outside was so cute!  Perhaps it was the green and red that got me.  (The exterior of my home is done in a similar color scheme.)

There were some great elements in this home (the butler’s pantry was fantastic), but overall it was underwhelming.

The St. Mary House
This house wasn’t at all my style (way too modern for my taste), but it was impressive.

The entire home was done in stark whites with a few pops of color here and there.

I did love the drama of the wood beams.

I think this was one of the only non-white kitchens on the tour.

Very zen-like bathroom with clean lines and sparse decor.

The outdoor living area was the homes’ best feature!

It boasted a huge courtyard for entertaining.

And it even had a lovely dipping pool.

This home was very difficult to tour because almost every room was roped off.  It was sold (but so were most of them) and I’m guessing the homeowner’s didn’t want people traipsing through the rooms.  But honestly, it was annoying.  The decor in this home was super cute but there was no way to enjoy it by leaning over a rope and craning your neck to sneak a peak.  We just left annoyed.

I liked the open shelving in this kitchen.  It also has an adorable farmhouse sink which you can’t see.

The tiled rug on the floor of the master bath was beautiful.

Fun chalkboard paint wall in the kids’ playroom.

Tribute to Armed Forces House
If you want to see a tour of this home be sure to click on the link at the end.  It has some fun elements.

How cool would this hidden door be if you were a kid?  A storage room is hidden behind the swinging bookshelf.

The Little Pink Cottage
For some reason the judges adored everything about this home.  It was cute, but it wasn’t at all my fav.

The kitchen was indeed gorgeous.  I loved the choice of light fixtures.

The cabinets were glazed, and I would have preferred a white, but they were really beautiful.

This home also had wide planked teak floors throughout which were amazing.

The master bath was decadent but a bit tile heavy for my taste.

Twin Oaks Home

And I honestly don’t remember what the inside of this home looked like, but if you love shutters this home is for you!  Just look at all those shutters on the porch!

It was a bit much, but if you wanted to have a private party on your porch, the shutters would serve you well.

So which house is your favorite???  I’d love to hear which one and why!

  1. Thanks for sharing. I could look at these pictures for hours. I love gleaning design/staging ideas!

  2. I agree with you about all of them. Loved the ones that you did and didn't like the modern one. Loved the shutters on the outside of one and I had those wide hand scraped flooring. Gorgeous!

  3. This is why we would be friends…b/c I ~heart~ going to open homes and these homes are PERFECTION. Still can not get over how I saw my own bedroom set in the pink house cottage.

    Cheers~

  5. I loved the Family Tides house. All of the homes were absolutely beautiful. Makes me wish i could afford a renovation of my little ranch. Ah well one can dream. Thanks for sharing!

  6. I am obsessing over those pendant lights in the little pink cottage! Love them! Thanks for the fun tour – I love looking at homes…I probably should have been a Realtor.

  7. Beth they are all gorgeous to pick only one as a favorite. What an amazing tour. Thank you!

    Enjoy your weeekend.

  8. The pink cottage kitchen is just beautiful. Love the pendants as well. So fun to look through those. Thanks!

  9. The first one, Oktober Haus, is my favorite. Very much my style…more on the inside though than out. However, the landscape is lovely! Thanks for sharing!!

  10. Beautiful homes. I agree with you on the last bathroom, too much tiles. Great inspiration for me. Thanks!

  11. I like the Oktoberfest haus – mostly for the kitchen. Didn't care for the pink cottage at all – not my style. Modern house was interesting but also not my style – I thought the dipping pool was cool though. Thanks for sharing – looks like it was a fun house tour!

  12. I actually really loved a LOT about the modern house (but those barstools HAVE to go)

But now I'm just too exhausted, thinking how much work it was to post all of these to your blog.

Thank you for sharing! Lots of ideas are spinning in my head now!
