I’m dreaming of a filigree Christmas…

I don’t know about you, but each time I run out to get someone else a Christmas gift I end up buying something for myself. I think part of this is that I find it so much less stressful shopping for myself. Hey, when it’s a gift for me, I know I’m going to just love it! Here are some bargains that I gifted to myself today. They all came from my dear friends T. J. Max, Ross, and Gabriel Brothers.  I’m not sure what I would do without them!

Cute Santa that I just had to have for $2.

This box was also $2 and will be receiving a bit of a makeover. I don’t really like it as is, but it’s a great little box and I think I can do something creative with it.

I love this embroidered towel (large enough to be an apron) that I found for $1.50.

I’m not a huge toile fan, but I like it in small sophisticated doses and this brown and white cake stand will be perfect next fall.  Clearance for $5!

Here are my cute bird plates with accompanied by their new cheapo chargers.  I’m not crazy about the gold, but I’m thinking about painting them.  You don’t eat off a charger after all.

Did you notice anything about the items I purchased?  Most of them incorporate some type of filigree.  I didn’t really recognize how much I like filigree looking things (especially in wood) until today.  For some reason that felt like another little gift within itself.  Merry Christmas to me!
